You answered your phone once you were outside. "Akaashi? What's going on with Nekoma?"
"Well... how do I say it? They've stopped getting along and it seems like the trust between them is practically nonexistent at the moment."
"What?! What happened?!"
"Well... it may have something to do with Kenma."
"Is it because of how he's been acting strange lately?"
"Kind of."
"Kind of? Please explain to me."
"Yamamoto started asking Kenma to explain himself for his weird behavior recently, Kenma refused and asked his team to leave him alone. Then, a fight broke out. Most of the players, Kuroo being the only exception, refused to let Kenma continue being a player on the team. None of them want to work with him, they don't want him as a setter anymore. Yamamoto told Kenma to quit the team, and he silently left while we were all hanging out. I tried looking for Kenma, but have been unable to find him."
"Shit. They chose the worst time for all this to happen. Of course they have a fight while I'm in a different prefecture."
"I know. I wanted to let you know immediately so you wouldn't walk into a practice to find that a lot went down while you were away."
"Thanks for telling me, Akaashi."
"It's no problem, L/n. But, how do you figure we fix this?"
"I might have to talk to the guys about it."
"Do you want to call one of them now?"
"Yeah, I probably should. I'll talk to you later, Akaashi."
"Talk later, L/n."
You sigh as you hang up, going through your contact to find one of the guys on the team.
You stopped at Yaku's contact and quicky called him. "Yaku-senpai."
"L/n? Is everything ok?"
"Akaashi just told me what happened between the team and Kenma. Is everyone still together right now?"
"Akaashi and Kenma aren't here, but everyone else is."
"Put me on speaker so I can talk to everyone."
"You're on speaker, L/n. Everyone, L/n's calling."
"All of you are being really stupid and rude right now. The next time any of you have the chance, apologize to Kenma-senpai. You're his teammates. You all need to get along. If he doesn't like sharing, understand he's just not comfortable with it and don't make such a big deal about it. He may be acting strange, but he has his reasons and is probably having a hard time gathering all his thoughts together so he can explain himself. He might be struggling to explain because he's not used to it. You all need to be understanding of that and give him the space he needs."
Kuroo answered from the other line. "Thanks for saying that, L/n. Everyone needed to hear it. I tried explaining and attempted to defend Kenma, but they didn't listen."
"Then all you idiots need to listen to me! If you don't have Kenma, you're gonna end up being an absolutely pathetic team! Kenma's strategic value is what helps keep this team strong! Don't let one misunderstanding or falling out ruin all that! Do you understand me?!"
All the guys replied in unison. "Yes, ma'am! We're sorry for our behavior!"
You smile. "I've gotta get going now. Make sure to apologize to Kenma the next time you get the chance. I'll talk to each of you later tonight. Bye!" And you hung up.
You quickly sent Akaashi a text.
You: I handled the team. Any luck with finding Kenma?
Akaashi: None, but thanks for dealing with that
You: I feel like I have to help, since I'm their manager
Akaashi: Can I call you again?
You: Sure
You quickly answer when your phone goes off. "Hey."
"I felt it would be better to tell you something like this, rather than through text."
"Makes sense. What's going on?"
Akaashi pauses for a moment, unsure of how to phrase it. "This thing with Kenma... well, it has something to do with you."
"What? Why me?"
"I can't explain that. Kenma should be the one to tell you. But ever since you and Kenma met, it caused him to have those behavioral changes. He hadn't fully realized what was going on until recently, but he knows that you are the reason behind him acting unusual lately."
"I see. Is there anything I can do to help him."
"Just be patient and support him for now. He's going to need it."
