You woke up to a message from the coach. He explained that there would be no practice today.

So you fell back asleep for an extra hour.

When your alarm finally goes off, you groan and roll out of bed. However, instead of a smooth transition out of bed, your body gives out, and you fall to the floor.

"What bad thing is gonna happen today?" You groan, standing up and getting yourself ready for the day.

On your walk to school, you saw rain clouds. That's when you knew: something bad was going to happen today.

You hadn't run into any of the guys on the team on your way to class. And you didn't feel like eating lunch with them when lunch break came around.

Of course, this gained their attention during lunch.

"Where's L/n?" Yamamoto looked around but hadn't seen their manager.

Kuroo looked around, also being unable to spot you. "I haven't seen her today since we didn't have practice. Have any of you seen her today?"

Everyone shook their heads. None of them saw you today.

Yaku stood up. "Maybe we should go to her classroom and see if she's there."

Kuroo nodded, standing up. "Bokuto asked if we wanted to hang out later today. I told him I'd gather everyone after school. It wouldn't feel right if we left L/n out."

The boys approached your classroom, opening the door and peeking inside. When they saw you sitting at your desk, talking with one of your classmates, they decided to head over to you.

Your classmate continued what they were saying. "So, I've been trying to talk about changing some of the club budgets with the rest of the student council, but a few of the senpai don't want to listen to a first year."

"Maybe bring in someone from one of the clubs that needs a budget change." You offered advice. "Maybe if the council gets a report from the teams about how well or poorly the current budget is, they might be more willing to listen and adjust the budgets accordingly."

They smile at you. "Thanks, L/n!" They look behind you. "Um, I think some people need you."

You turn around, coming face-to-face with the members of the volleyball club. "Hey, guys. Did you need something?"

Kuroo looked down at you. "We were just wondering where our manager was."

"I've been here the whole time. Is something wrong?"

Kuroo grinned. "I was wondering... are you available after school, by any chance?"

"Of course. We don't have practice, and I don't have anything else to do."

"Then come hang out with us."

Your eyes widened for a split second. "This was the bad thing."

"What?"

"I've been getting signs all morning that something bad was gonna happen today. This must be it."

"It won't be bad. It'll be fun."

You narrow your eyes at the captain. "You said that about the practice match with Fukurodani."

Yaku sighed. "This is a rare chance to just relax and bond as a team. Are you sure you don't wanna be there? Kuroo, Yamamoto, and Lev might make total asses of themselves."

You perked up. "Oh, I'll be there."

"Why is that what you agree to?!" Kuroo was offended, along with the two other boys that were made fun of.

"Cuz, it's funny to me." You turn back around and face your classmate once more. "Now, go away. I was in the middle of a conversation that you rudely interrupted."

They boys left, looking back as you went back into conversation with your classmate. They walked out, smiling at the fact that you'd be hanging out with them and some of the Fukurodani members after school.

Thunder boomed as you all arrived at your destination. You frown, looking at Bokuto.

"You guys tricked me. I knew this was gonna be bad."

Kuroo chuckled. "It's not gonna be bad. It's just a little storm while we hang out."

The frown remained on your face. "You're all annoying. I'm going home."

Bokuto frowned, deflating. "But I wanted this to be fun with all you guys."

Akaashi sighed, turning to you with a pleading look on his face. "L/n-san, could you please just stay for a while?"

You give a slight glare to the boys. "No way."

Thunder boomed once more, a strike of lightning illuminating the darkened sky. Rain heavily fell from the sky. Walking home in this wouldn't be a good idea.

Yaku looked at you. "Are you sure you wanna go home in this."

You let out frustrated sigh. "Fine. I'll stay."

The boys cheered, happy to have you around for a while longer.

Kenma walked over to you while the others were distracted, whispering into your ear. "You don't wanna be here either, right?"

"I don't. I'm guessing you'd rather be at your house, playing video games right about now?"

He nods. "I would've preferred going home. But Kuroo wouldn't let me."

You just glare at the other boys. "This is such a pain."

Kenma continues looking at your eyes, hoping to make eye contact. "It really is."

You turn to look into the boy's eyes. Immediately, you forgot there were others around. All you could focus on were those beautiful golden orbs.

Kenma leans in, but you had also leaned in to meet him halfway. You two kissed, trying to drag it out as long as possible. You both were just mesmerized by each other's eyes.

"L/n! Kenma!" Kuroo had called out to you two, having lost sight of the both of you. "Hurry up and get over here!"

You two pull apart, sighing.

You look away from Kenma. "Let's go, senpai."

He smiles, following you as you begin to walk towards the others.
