"Kenma, we need to talk."

The setter looked at his team, eyes questioning him. "About what?"

Yaku narrowed his eyes. "You've been staring at L/n a lot. And you've been acting strange ever since she became our manager."

Yamamoto looked at his setter. "Is everything alright with you, Kenma?"

Kenma didn't look at any of his teammates. "It's nothing."

Kuroo sighed, knowing he had to get involved. "It's not nothing and you know it, Kenma."

"I really don't wanna talk about it."

"Why not?"

"Cuz I don't understand it myself!"

There was a stunned silence for a little while.

Kenma sighed. "Just... drop it. Or I'm going home and playing video games."

The Nekoma boys remained silent, not daring to try asking their setter anything else.

Kenma silently cursed himself. He let that attraction control his body too much, even his team was becoming more curious about it. He decided he would try fighting it and stop trying to constantly look into your eyes.

"Hey hey heyyy!" Bokuto smiled when he saw the Nekoma team approaching him and Akaashi.

Kuroo greeted his friend with a smile. "Hey, bro. What's up?"

"Akaashi and I have been waiting for you guys to show up!"

Akaashi noticed the other setter staring at the ground, sensing an uneasy feeling coming from the Nekoma players. "Is everything alright?"

Kuroo answers for the whole team. "Yeah, just some issues with communicating. It's nothing, no need to worry about it."

As the boys started heading around the area for their hangout, Akaashi moved over to Kenma and decided to stick with him for the entire day.

"So... what's going on?" Akaashi struck up a conversation with the other setter.

Kenma sighed. "You know how you noticed I was acting different while L/n was around?"

"Yeah. Is your team's weird behavior connected to that?"

The shorter setter nods. "My team brought it up today, wanting an explanation for it. I couldn't give one and it created a little bit of tension."

"Can you try telling me a bit about why you've started acting differently?"

Kenma shook his head. "I don't understand it myself."

"Explain what you can."

Kenma took a deep breath before beginning. "Ever since I first looked into her eyes, I felt this weird attraction to her. Then we kept making eye contact, and ended up kissing a few times."

Akaashi's eyes widened, not expecting that. "What?!"

"Shh! I've kissed L/n a few times, ok. Please don't say anything about it to anyone."

He sighs. "I won't. Please, continue."

Kenma looks down. "She's all I can think about, especially how things went between us all those times. It was just the two of us, but it felt so right. I really don't know how to explain it. Sorry, but I think that's all I'm able to say."

Akaashi nods. "That's fine. I didn't expect to receive as much as you gave."

"What advice do you have for me? All I can think about doing is return to my old self. Which means I would have to stop looking into her eyes, or even look at her."

"If you think that would help, then do it. If you really don't want to talk about it with your team, then changing your behavior is the only answer."

"Ok. So... what do you think is going on?"

Akaashi sighs. "Do you want my honest opinion, Kenma?"

The quiet setter nods. "Yes."

"I think you might have a crush on her. I started thinking that way when it was the three of us the last time we all hung out."

Kenma sighs. "Well... I don't know what I should've expected. If that's really the only reason behind it... then, what do I do about it?"

"You could always tell L/n how you feel. It seems she might feel the same way, given she hasn't pushed you away and she has kissed you back each time."

"I can't admit to having those feelings, though. It's too out of character for me."

Akaashi continues to look at the other boy. "I feel like it would be completely out of character for either of you to confess to having romantic feelings towards anyone else."

Kenma finally looks up to make eye contact with the other setter. "I see. I'll... think about it."
