"Hey hey heyyyy."

You look over to the gym doors, seeing the opposing team walk in. You stand up and walk over to them, bowing. "Hello. Welcome, we're excited to be having this match with you."

Bokuto's eyes went wide, mouth wide open as he stares at you. "Who's this beautiful angel?"

Kenma glared once he heard the comment, making Yamamoto flinch beside the setter.

Kuroo walked over, a grin on his face as he wrapped an arm around your shoulder. "This is L/n Y/n, our manager."

You stand up straight, offering a small smile to the team that just walked in. "Nice to meet you." You move Kuroo's arm off of you. "Please don't touch me again, Kuroo."

Bokuto's eyes sparkled. "She's so cute! I want her!"

"Bokuto-san. This is another human being, please don't refer to L/n-san as if she were an object." Akaashi walked up to his ace.

You just watched the boys interact, slowly backing away from them. Already, you felt exhausted. And all you did was meet the other team's ace.

You sit down on a bench. "He's their captain? He seems to be a complete moron."

Yaku agreed. "He is. And it's always trouble when Kuroo and Bokuto get together."

"Really?"

He nods. "I just hope you won't have to experience it firsthand."

Kenma approached you. "Can we just hurry this up and be done with it?"

"It's that bad?" You turn to meet eyes with the quiet setter.

He nods, not breaking the eye contact. "It's unbearable. Honestly, I hate having practice matches with Bokuto. It's annoying."

"Does he have lots of energy?"

Yaku answered before Kenma could open his mouth. "Yes. And he constantly asks for us to play more sets. It exhausts everyone. I feel bad that Akaashi has to deal with it."

Kenma agreed. "If I was in Akaashi's place, I'd tell Bokuto I'll stop setting to him."

You were surprised that Kenma was being so talkative, but you knew this would probably happen more frequently. "That seems a little harsh."

"But it would be the only thing to make him stop."

Kuroo called the Nekoma team together. "Come on, let's get started!"

And soon, the practice match began.

You were impressed at how well the Fukurodani team played, seeing they were a bit better than the boys on your team. You watched closely, noticing how your own team could improve and possibly beat the opposing team.

In between sets, the players came to the bench, getting water and wiping their sweat off with towels. They had lost their first set.

"Um, maybe you guys could try something different to win the next set?"

They all turned their attention to you, so you explained your idea to the team.

Coach Nekomata laughed, impressed with what you had been able to come up with. "That could work. Good job for noticing and coming up with a plan. Let's implement that into this next set and see how effective it'll be."

And so, the next set began. The boys used your strategy, and it showed helpful to their playing. The were actually leading, 15-9, against their opponents. They boys seemed to be in high spirits, each turning to smile at you when they got the chance. A few would even give a thumbs up, the pride shining in their eyes.

They were able to win the second set, happiness surging in almost all of the members.

During the break, Kenma sat to you and groaned. "This is exhausting. I want to be done." He leaned his head on shoulder and closed his eyes.

You turn to look at him. "It's not so bad. You can survive for one more set."

"One more will turn into ten more. If we don't stop it now, Bokuto will keep trying to get us to play more. I'm already done with it."

You give it some thought. "After this next set, I'll talk to Bokuto so he won't ask for anymore sets. It'll be fine then, right?"

Kenma's eyes opened, becoming extremely wide. "You what?"

You stood up, causing the boy to need to catch himself before he falls. "I'll talk to him."

You walk over, hearing and seeing the loud ace getting more pumped for the next set.

"This is so fun! I feel like I can keep going on forever!"

You walk right up to him. "Um... excuse me?"

Bokuto looks right at you, a huge smile on his face. "Yes? What does the extremely pretty girl need?"

"I was wondering, can this be the last set you guys play? I'm worried that it's gonna be too exhausting for all the players, for both teams."

He thought about it for a moment, the smile leaving his face. "Hmmm... sure! Since you asked and show concern for everyone, this can be the last set!"

"Thank you so much!"

You walk back to your team and share the good news.

Kenma looked at you, golden eyes sparkling as they looked into yours. "How did you manage that?"

"I simply just asked Bokuto nicely, explaining my concern for all the players."

Kuroo grinned. "And he listened? And agreed?"

You nod. "It would seem so."

And so, the last set began. Once it ended, everyone worked together to clean up and prepared to go home. Even though Bokuto would've liked to play more, he settled for that last set, having won it.

Soon, everyone walked home. You walked home by yourself, like normal. That night, you had probably the best sleep of your life.
