"Ok, boys! Huddle up!" Coach Nekomata called to the boys of the team.

The boys gathered around their coach, curiosity in their eyes.

Kuroo spoke first. "What's going on, coach?"

The old coach smiled at the team. "We will be going to Miyagi over this mini break and be having a practice match with our old rival team, Karasuno... along with some other teams in that prefecture."

You and Kenma do a double take. "Karasuno?!"

Kuroo looks at you two. "What about it?"

You nearly jump from excitement. "That's my cousin's team!"

Coach Nekomata looks at you. "So you've seen their practices. How would you say they are? Is it gonna be worth our time?"

You nod. "Even though the guys can't always get along, they function well as a team. And they have some amazing tricks up their sleeves. I think you'll be impressed when you see them play."

The team got pumped up... except for Kenma, who already looked exhausted.

The old coach laughed. "Well, now we have something to look forward to. Get back to practicing, we need to prepare ourselves for the crows!"

"Yes, sir!"

The boys go back to practice, Kenma lingering around you just a tad longer.

"Everything alright, Kenma?"

He sighs. "I really don't wanna deal with anyone too energetic. I can already tell it's going to be exhausting during the week."

You gently put a hand on his shoulder. "It should be fine. I'll be there with you, so we can cuddle in my room every night. You can look forward to that, can't you?"

Kenma smiles at you. "Yeah, I think that'll be all the motivation I need. I'll get back to practice, I'll talk to you afterwards."

You nod, gazing at the setter. "Good luck."

He jogs off to join the others on the court, continuing with practice like normal.

But Kuroo noticed how you two talked, taking in the expressions on your faces. He was going to ask Kenma about it later, once practice finishes up.

When practice does end, Kuroo takes Kenma to the side for questioning. "What's going on between you and Y/n?"

"I don't know what you're talking about."

Kuroo frowns. "I saw you two talking together before you rejoined us for practice. You both were smiling as if there's nothing in the world better than talking to each other. What were you guys even talking about, anyways?"

"It's none of your business."

"Do you want to cause another misunderstanding with the team?"

"We were just talking about the practice matches in Miyagi., Kuro. Why are you so determined to know everything that's going on in my life?"

Kuroo's frown deepens. "I'm concerned when my setter starts acting differently out of nowhere. I'm trying to look out for you. Don't get so defensive."

"Then maybe keep your nose out of my business."

"Knock it off you two." Yaku looked over at the two boys that just entered the changing room. "Y/n's gonna get upset if there's another fight."

Kuroo snorted. "Maybe there wouldn't be these problems if Kenma didn't keep so many things to himself."

"Maybe you should learn to stops ticking your nose where it doesn't belong, Kuro."

Everyone was surprised by the setter's remark.

Kuroo glared at the boy. "Maybe you should trust your team."

"I do trust you all. But there are some things in my life that you guys don't need to know. Not everything I do is your business."

Yaku stood in between the two males. "That's enough. You know what'll happen if Y/n hears you."

At the mention of your name, Kenma calmed down. And that was enough for Kuroo to know what was going on.

"So you only care about shit when Y/n's involved?"

Kenma glared at the taller boy. "Shut up, Kuro."

Kuroo huffed. "Your crush on her is what's gonna tear this team apart. You're letting that get in the way of actually trusting your own teammates."

"It's not getting in the way of anything. And don't bring my feelings into this. I didn't even want to tell you guys in the first place. I knew you'd never let me live it down."

"Then maybe make it seem like your feelings are nothing when we have practice. Put your energy into something that matters."

"Y/n does matter!"

Everyone froze at the setter's outburst.

Then a knock was on the door, before it cracked open.

"You guys aren't fighting in here, are you?" You peeked your head into the room, looking at all the guys.

Kenma grabbed his things and walked over to you. "Kuroo was getting too damn nosy. Don't worry about it, Y/n."

He walks out the room, closing the door and grabbing your hand before walking away with you.
