Victoria: Stop giving me lecture, I will inform them when I want to, it’s better if you leave because my decision won’t change, it’s better if you search for a new member. I know you are doing all this because you need to find team members and if I quit now, it would be difficult for you. (She sighed sitting on her chair and opening her book)

Me: You really think that I care? I can easily return to Japan and restart my education there. (I stooped towards her) You look dead.

Victoria: Stop making fun of me. (she bites her lower lip while glaring at me)

Me: (Noticing her emotions, a small smirk curled up on my lips as I continued) Heh….I miss that old Victoria who knew how to stand up against injustice. All I see now is an empty vessel. (I said in a mocking manner)

Victoria: SHUT UP!!! (she said standing up and slapping me hard across my face as she gets out of breathe) Why…..why are you doing this to me….(she stammers, her hands start trembling, her eyes were filled with water) I…I am sorry….(she murmured before slapping her own cheek) I am such a bad friend….

Me: (I grabbed her hands squeezing them softly) Don’t be stupid. We all lose our shits when we go through life, so….its fine. Just take a deep breath and relax.

Victoria: Anne….(she gulps her spit while glancing at me with desperate eyes) would my life be easier if she was never born?

Me: (I covered her lips) Don’t say anything that you will regret later.

Victoria: (She removes my hand) You are right. I am such a bad sister.

Me: Listen Victoria….I somewhat understand your pain, and trust me, it wouldn’t have been better without her presence. We cannot blame our miseries on innocent people. (I replied in a stern manner) I know that you are feeling jealous, and its normal. That doesn’t make you a bad person.

Victoria: I guess. (she sighed) Anyways….there is no point of this conversation. My mother has made it clear that she doesn’t want me to waste my time with football.

Me: (I smacked the back of her head) Enough with your self-pity, listen Victoria, you either have to stand up for yourself now, or you will regret forever. I can understand that your mother is worried for your academics, but I believe that you can handle both of them together. But I think before you can convince your mother, first you need to have some trust within yourself.

Victoria: ouch…(she rubs the back of her head) that hurts.

Me: Hope it will help you get back to your senses. (I said rolling my eyes)

Victoria: Do you think that she will listen? (she asked out of concern)

Me: Maybe. (I shrugged) you need to work hard to convince her.

Victoria: Uhm…Anne…(she takes a deep breath) Can you visit my house on this weekend? My mother is on a business trip right now, she will return in two days. I need some courage to bring up the topic….so….if you help me….(she hesitated)
