Chapter 147. Departure

After breakfast, the 3 of us prepared for the day, we all took a bath together, and I had to fight off Sarah's advances. We just didn't have the time currently. I noticed Aana was also disappointed when I explained why we couldn't. It was strange, Sarah said the same thing at breakfast, but it seems they forgot by the time of the bath.  After the bath, it was a quick and easy process to get dressed. I was dressed in a simple red combat uniform along with black combat boots. It was traditional for Nobles of Diablos to wear military uniforms when bidding people goodbye. Sarah had dressed in a lovely red dress that contrasted her beautiful white hair. Anna wore a charming black dress that fit her body well and added to the look of her dark green hair and eyes. They were dressed appropriately as wives of Noblemen. With our dressing done, we prepared to leave the house. 

" I can't believe they're already leaving. It feels like they just got here."

Sarah spoke as I closed the door to our home.

" Time flies when you're having fun. I know time has passed by fast for me. From the elves and their mystery. To the Wyvern, awakening a God. Training the Humans, training ourselves. All of the work I've put into dairy products. From gathering the cattle, to actually working out the way to make it safe and then making the ice cream. So much work over so little time... Really makes you think."

My wives listened to my words and thoughts about how fast everything has come and gone. While I also thought back on it... I couldn't help but voice a thought as the memories came flooding in.

" I hope our future has a lot of slow days moving forward."

" Why is that?"

Anna asked me confused because of my thought. I thought I should explain the thought.

" Well... Thinking about it, besides the early morning and the nighttime. We hadn't had the chance to spend much time together. So, to make up for that. I hope that we have a lot of slow days moving forward. So, we could catch up on the time together that we missed."

" Fool..."

At my words, Sarah voiced the first thought that came into my head. While she said that, Anna grasped my right hand with her own hand and wrapped her arms around my right arm.

" It wouldn't matter if the days were fast or slow, we'd always find time for us. It's been true so far and we will do our damnedest to keep that happening."

As Sarah spoke, she also approached me and wrapped her hands around my left arm and had her fingers interlock with my left hand's fingers.

" I suppose you're right, Sarah... But having more time together does still sound nice."

Anna spoke as we began to walk. Both my wives had bright smiles on their faces, and I did as well. We walked to the southern gate to see off the 400 or so Humans that were leaving. As we walked, our moods evened out. As we walked through the street, we noticed the mood was dour. Demons and Humans were.... Crying while bidding goodbye.

" Who would've thought it would get like this?"

" didn't you want them to form bonds?"

" Yeah... But... I didn't want everyone to be so sad... How could they get so close to each other in a month?"

As the words left my mouth, I began to think about what I've done... I may have messed up. I didn't want my citizens to be this hurt by the Humans leaving. Demon children were hugging Human children and were bawling their eyes out. While I was shocked by what I saw, Sarah began to speak to me.

" I wanted to marry you the second I laid eyes on you, My Love. I find it easy to believe that strong bonds can form in short times. Our marriage accounts for that, I'm not the only Demon who thinks that, isn't that right Anna?"
