                                                              John Ericsson's Point Of View

" 15 gators, 10 squirrels, 20 crabs, 13 flesh-eating deer...."

I was currently going through the paperwork I pushed onto the backburner while experimenting to find the correct pasteurization method for milk. Currently, I was checking the total amount of meat the hunting parties have gathered in the 12 days I missed. I was impressed with what was found. After explaining some of the things to watch for in combat, along with properly equipping the hunters with strong weapons and armor made from the materials we've collected over the past month or so of hunting, the successes of the hunting squads have shot up considerably. Remembering how everyone was so frightened when we fought that gator when we arrived to now, we have Mutiple individuals who've been able to kill one without any help from their fellow hunters. Now, it's more efficient to have the squads go out and hunt than just having Sarah, Anna and I split into 2 groups and hunt. With this, I just need to focus on farming and developing different dairy products.

/KNOCK! KNOCK!/

A loud knocking was heard on my door.

" Come in."

To my surprise when the door opened, Ellie walked in, quite excitedly I might add.

" Lord Matthew! It's noon! It's time for lunch!"

Ellie was excited for today. Finally, after a week of experimenting with pasteurizing milk and an extra 5 to get all 3 basic flavors done, I could finally have everyone try out ice cream for the first time. I've asked everyone over to have a small lunch. Sarah and Anna will be the first to try the ice cream, then the workers who made this all possible, then I wanted to let some of the humans have some as well. Just to have a good sample size of people trying out the ice cream, I've made about 10 gallons of each flavor which is being held in 2 giant ice boxes made from magic. With this, I have them at just the right temperature for a softer ice cream and the other is how I like it, fully hard and frozen. I looked at Ellie, who was waiting to try strawberry ice cream for the first time, and I responded to her.

" Well, then let's get going, I just reached the halfway point for my paperwork, so a break sounds nice."

" Wow, all of those giant mountains of paperwork and you're only halfway done?"

Ellie looked at the 4 mountains of paperwork on the floor next to my desk that are the same height as she is.

" Yeah, King Warrick once told me " 95% of the job is paperwork.", I could see an emotion dwelling in his eyes as he said it. Now I know what it was. It was the feeling of his hand hurting from holding a pen."

" Sounds tough."

" It can be. Anyways, let's get going! It's been so long since I had ice cream! I can't wait for everyone to try it!"

" Did you make the strawberry kind?"

I nodded my head to Ellie's question.

" That's great!"

" I agree. Let's head on down."

Like that, Ellie and I headed to the garden area where around 20 people were currently sitting and conversating with each other. Sarah and Anna were sitting in seats beside the seat at the head of the table. I didn't order anyone to be here, instead I simply asked if they would come as a celebration. Some showed up, some didn't. I didn't think the stigma of dairy products would be cleared with just my support, but I'm glad at the turn out. Ruby, Skitz, Flare, Emily, Wendy as well as Janet and Jim were all here. As well as the team leader of all of the milk products in the building I've been using to make dairy products. I took my seat at the head of the table and Ellie went to Janet and Jim. Anna was the first to notice my arrival.
