We walked to the balcony together. I was told to stand next to Sarah as she was the Princess of Diablos, and I was her fiancé, so I was placed on her right side. Anna was behind us a little to the right of me. Since we were going to announce that I was marrying both of them, it was deemed respectful for her to also be near the front of the group. Behind and to the left of Sarah was Cynthia and behind the 4 of us was where Asha and Sharon walked. We were currently near the exit of the long hallway and could see the light of late afternoon shining in through the doorway.

" Are you nervous John?"

Sarah asked me while fidgeting herself.

" Where's the confidence you had when you announced that you were my fiancé?"

Sarah looked a little embarrassed but still responded.

" Well, I mean... When I announced my intentions as your fiancé, it was like the starting point of a race. Now though, I'm so close to the finish line and I'm just so happy that we're so close to what seemed like a distant goal."

" Well, when you answer so sincerely, it makes it hard to tease you. To answer your question, I'm not nervous. I'm excited. I'm genuinely happy I get to marry both you and Anna soon. I might be inexperienced in this whole relationship thing, but I hope to spend the rest of my life with both of you. Please take care of me. And I'll take care of you."

Sarah just responded by holding my hand.

" Don't forget about me John, and the same goes for me to. Please take care of me in the future.

" Of course!"

I spoke loud enough for Anna to hear me, and she also responded without moving out of her position. If there's a silver lining besides the marriage itself, it's that Anna will be able to walk side by side with me from now on as my wife. Instead of having to walk behind me as a maid.

" Our chance will come Cyn."

" What was that, Asha?"

" !! Nothing! Just chatting with Cynthia is all."

" Oh, okay!"

Why do they always get so quiet? It starts to make me think that I'm being too self-conscious. While wondering what it was I missed, we made it to the balcony. The sun was still high in the sky as Warrick began to report everything that happened at the Northern Border. Eventually he got to the part I was wondering about how the people would react.

" From the battle of the Hero and Matthew the Paladin, Matthew emerged victorious! In fact, he didn't even suffer a scratch!"

Warrick gestured towards me; I raised my fist to the sky thinking it might help. It was mostly silence and people just staring at me. Thankfully the ones that mattered clapped. Sarah and Anna led the rest of the girls into a celebratory clapping Oh well, can't win them all, I guess. Maybe the girls clapping for me added to the reason why none of the men were wearing happy expressions? I suppose it doesn't matter, since things are about to get worse soon. Warrick continued to explain about how the girls defeated the rest of the Hero Party and the girls were cheered. It's nice that they're being acknowledged. He then talked about how I clashed with an S- Class adventurer and how he almost injured Sarah if not for me putting my body on the line. I got a cheer for that. After that we entered the rewarding portion of the speech.

" First up, for the achievement of stopping the invaders of Diablos, I will be unlocking the 2nd jobs of my daughter the first Princess Sarah Dreadnaught! Asha Clearfield! And Sharon Ashblade! Please step forward so everyone may bear witness!"

The crowd cheered. Warrick proceeded to launch magic bolts into each of the girls. The crowd cheered again. Next Warrick moved onto talking about me.

" Now after that, I would like to talk about Matthew. He bravely fought against the Hero, he sacrificed himself to protect Sarah! With all of this as well as what he has done in the past, as well as what I believe he will do in the future! I will be giving Marquess Matthew ownership of the Rose Swamps!"
