" Ah, I can't believe I didn't notice the time. My apologies Matthew."
"..."
" Matthew?"
"He appears to be spell struck, Father Wock."
I heard them speak, but I couldn't find the words to answer. I was just looking at them both. They were both dressed in a way I've never seen from them before. Flowing purple and green dresses with veils to obscure their faces, but you could still see them to a degree. I struggled to find words to say to them to express how I felt. Tired from waiting for a reaction, Sarah and Anna both grabbed my hands and began to pout.
" How are we supposed to know if you like our wedding dresses, if you don't compliment us?"
Sarah whispered into my ear seductively.
" John, Sarah and I worked hard to find the right dresses with Aqua and the girls. Do you think they suit us?"
Anna whispered in my other ear. Her hand was shaking slightly. This pincer attack snapped me out of the haze I was in.
" Sarah, Anna. You both look amazing. I was at a loss of words when I saw both of you."
" Hm? Took you long enough. If today wasn't our wedding day, I may've had to punish you."
Sarah pinched my cheek as she teased me. Anna just released a deep breath and the tension in her body seemed to dissipate.
" Thank goodness."
I couldn't see it fully, but I could make out that Anna was smiling under her veil.
" It's good that you've returned to us Matthew. I take it you 3 are ready to begin the ceremony?"
Father Wock asked us if we were ready.
" So, we just get married in the dark right? It seems a bit weird to me. Usually, weddings are a big affair that friends and family bear witness to."
" Well, like I'm sure you heard before. The Faith of the Dark Gods is more conservative than that. In regard to marriage, we believe that husband and wife should be allowed their privacy."
I spoke about the weddings from my world and Father Wock echoed what Aqua said to me earlier. A question popped into my head however.
" Father Wock, it was told to me that you ask a person for their full name to take their partner as their wife or husband, right?"
" Yes, that is correct Matthew. Why do you ask?"
" Well, I kind of need you to keep this a secret for me. Can you swear on it that you will?"
Father Wock looked at me with a hint of seriousness.
" With the Gods as witness, I will keep it secret. What is it, Matthew?"
I began to whisper to Father Wock so no one can hear me/
" My real name is John Ericcson."
" Ah! I wondered why I didn't know your family name. However, if you're keeping your name a secret, what will you do for the marriage certificate?"
" Hm... that's a good question."
" If we are choosing family names, perhaps we should also join in."
Sarah and Anna joined Father Wock and I in our team huddle. Some time passed and we still had no real answer. Anna mumbled a name that changed the situation.
" ... Drake..."
" Hm?"
This took me by surprise.
" Why did that name come to you Anna?"
