It's been 5 days since the Dispute happened, when I explained that I allowed Emily and Ruby to call me by name, it started a small rebellion for a few minutes in my house. Not from Sarah and Anna as they were completely fine with it. It was from Ellie. It started when Ruby asked if I wanted to go and train after I finished my work for the day.

" Matthew, would you like to go and train with everyone?"

" Ruby!"

Ellie heard Ruby address me by name and had a horrified look on her face. I explained to Ellie what happened and how I gave Ruby and Emily permission to refer to my name in private. This sparked an hour-long rebellion from Ellie.

"...."

She began to give me the silent treatment while staring at me. Eventually Janet came to the rescue and was able to figure out what was wrong. Granted, I had a guess.

" It appears that she's jealous Lord Matthew."

" She wants to just call me by my name as well, doesn't she?"

Janet nodded to my words with a concerned look on her face.

" Okay, can you call all of the staff, I guess now would be a good time to do this."

" What do you want everyone for, Lord Matthew?"

Janet seemed to be concerned about something.

" Relax, I'm not punishing anyone. I just think now would be a good time to get this out of the way."

Janet didn't really understand what I meant, but she followed my order anyways. In time, Janet, Jim, Ellie, Amy, Brenda, Catherine, Aaron, Brandon, Chris and Deborah were lined up. I addressed them with Sarah, Anna, Ruby and Emily behind me.

" Hi, I'll make this brief. From now on, while in private you all can refer to me by name."

" What!?"

Janet was surprised by my words. I decided to explain my thought process to everyone.

" Look guys, I'll be blunt with you all. I'm not originally a Noble. In my world I was a commoner. To be honest, I find the whole "formal title" thing to be exhausting."

" But we have to respect your rank, Lord Matthew."

Deborah spoke to me, almost in protest.

" Well, that's why I said in private. More specifically, I'd like you all to refer to me by name in this house. Out in public you'll have to respect my rank and also if I have an official here for some reason. here's to the Gods that never happens though."

" Lord Matthew!"

That was Brandon. He's always been the most serious of the 3 brothers.

" Again, I realize I need to respect the rank, but can any of you look me in the eye and tell me about any Nobles you know that aren't saying terrible things about me or my family? I think I'm entitled to hoping they never come here."

" Even still, to use our Lord's name without addressing rank..."

" Would you prefer I order you to do it? I mean, if you really wish to keep referring to me as " Lord Matthew", I won't stop it. Would you guys prefer if I left it up to your own personal choice?"

They all began to nod to my question.

" Okay, from now on, address me as you like. Please treat me well from now on."

My servants bowed and then began to leave. Ellie tugged on my sleeve as the servants left.

" It's not as special anymore."
