Power of Dominion (Pokemon Cynthia x READER)

CH 2 : Objective

Barely escaping the jaws of Gyrados, Y/n and his partners had effectively cheated death but unfortunately they couldn't glide forever and they began to fall into the sea.

The passengers aboard the S.S. Sinnoh were not only shocked but also terrified seeing the figure of a young man dropped into their balcony in the early hours of the morning , legs drenched in blood and completely soaked in sea water.

A teenage boy who had no idea his importance to our heroes life rushed to y/ns aid wrapping his bleeding shin in bandages and pulling his body away from view. Y/n who was barely conscious allowed his savior to help him . His partner pokemon chansey tended to y/ns pokemon.

Y/n who hadn't slept properly these past couple days was out like a lamp for 6 whole hours not moving a single muscle Zeezee however had woken up and jogged up and down watching over her master.

Later~

Y/n woke up to a burning sensation on his leg he yelped and sat up abruptly. The boy was peeling of his bandages and applying medicine to clean it.

"Who the hell are you?" Y/n asked

"I'm Liam and who the hell are you?"

The boy introduced himself, he was a young prospect from Sinnoh making rounds to seek worthy opponents before challenging the Sinnoh league he shared the room with his sister and mother who worked aboard the ship. Liam gave y/n food and water and listened to his crazy story

"So you escaped a flooding lighthouse with no water pokemon by climbing the lighthouse, battling a red Gyrados and gliding through a storm??". Y/n nodded his head while munching on a triple stuffed Oreo. "So where's this boat headed ??"

"First we are going to a small Island called Durnab to make some repairs since the storm damaged some windows then we'll head to Canalave city" Y/n grinned "Seems we're headed the same way so I'll stay" Liam looked stunned "No way that's too risky" Y/n scowled at the boy and they started to argue.

"I have a flying pokemon simply trust me and I'll make you a trip back to Durnab" Y/n agreed and the pair shook hands.

A few hours past and most of the passengers went under to watch a performance by a famous pokemon coordinator. Liam took this opportunity to send out his Skarmory and mount Y/n on.

"Thanks for your help Liam." Liam blushed before extending his fist.

"If we meet again let's battle ?" Y/n nodded and bumped fists grinned perhaps I'll see you at the league"

"FROM ONE ADVENTURER TO THE OTHER"

Skarmory took off ,its metal body shining in the sky reflecting the suns light. Y/n held on tightly as Skarmory raced northeast. Liam smiled as his pokemon disappeared into the horizon he smirked at the figure.

"Finally a worthy opponent our battle will be legendary!!"

Everything was looking good for our team except for one small detail , Skarmorys armor reflected the suns rays as it flew through the sky , one such beam of light shone straight back onto the ship and onto the face of a certain sun bathing trainer who turned their head towards the light.

The trainer squinted her eyes recognizing the feint image in the distance , she smirked slightly before picking up her cellphone.

"Well that changes things......"

Skarmory dropped Y/n meters away from the shore forcing him to swim to land he didn't have time to complain as he had bigger problems he was homeless and had no current job.

Y/n dusted himself off and took the bus to the police department still drenched and smelling like seawater.

The streets of the city Durnab were filthy and polluted , darks clouds from the nearby factories covered most of the sky making it always seems gloomy and unnerving.

2nd person POV

You walked up the steps of the police department and showed the secretary your badge. "You're finally back from your cavern y/n"she smirked and opened the gate. You nodded and walked through entering the almost deserted police office.

A fat man stood at a large desk munching on some doughnuts and reading a pokemon magazine.

"Morning chief taking break on company time again?"

The man growled putting down his snack "It's been a year since you last stepped foot in my building and this is how you appear??"

''DRENCHED IN SWEAT AND BLOOD!!?"

You shrugged ignoring the laughs from the other officers.

"You're lucky I even paid you for wasting your time in that lighthouse!" The chief began to scream and scold you for another 25 minutes but you weren't concerned what caught your attention was the magazine the man was reading.

"The Sinnoh champions calls for a worthy opponent"

You reached over and plucked the magazine from the officers hands. The man turned red in anger but you ignored him reading the pages under the title.

Trainers of Sinnoh it has been a full year since the last attempt was made to claim the spot as champion of our region we must not forget our calling as trainers ,I the champion request the most powerful trainers to bring their strongest teams to face my elite four.

The chiefs screaming became louder he clapped his hands together and violently ripped the magazine from your hands.

"DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH YOU NEED ME AND THIS JOB!?!?!

You are a TALENTLESS and RECKLESS pathetic wretch that I took pity on and saved from being homeless!!!"

The words of the chief would always cut deep but for some reason this time it didn't. Your ears felt empty and your gaze was fixed on your shaking hands. The rush of adrenaline returned this time your soaked it in enjoying the thrill rushing through your veins.

The staff members were all staring at you either laughing or scowling at you.

That's it...I don't belong here and I never have

A feint breeze blew on from outside brushing the hair on your head it felt like a gentle kiss from the sea.

"Y/n you've been demoted, it's neighborhood cleanup duty for you"

The chief stated at you waiting for a response.

"Sorry sir but I won't be doing any cleaning or any paperwork because I quit"

"The champion needs a challenge and I will be the one to answer it"

After narrowly escaping death y/n decides to abandon his life and chase after a dream
