Y/n stood on the edge of the Canalave docks in his hands was Kyogre's pokeball he clutched it tightly. "We've had an unusual relationship you and I but I'm still grateful for your help" Y/n felt a warm tingle in his hand as he swung it back "But you deserve a better life" he tossed the ball as high and as far as he could a small tear formed in his eye.
"I'll make sure she gets home safe" said Steven from behind. He shook Y/ns hand offering him a tissue for his bloody nose. "You sure you're in shape to get back on the road?" asked the champion. Y/n nodded "I could say the same about you" They both laughed wholeheartedly before taking a break to catch their breaths "We're cut from the same cloth you and I only my side is of the finer quality" joked the Hoenn champion.
"On a serious note Y/n you did the right thing releasing Kyogre as we learnt from this adventure of ours no man should wield ultimate power" Y/n nodded. "If you excuse me I have a gym battle coming up let me know if you have the balls to challenge me" Steven smirked "Maybe when you're a champion yourself we can face off"
"That's a deal" said Y/n turning towards the gym. "If you need my help with anything give me a call" said Steven handing Y/n a Devon Corp business card.

A loud wailing sound came from the ocean as the waves grew slightly more powerful the trainers smiled before leaving each other "Goodbye for now friend"
Y/n headed to the gym he stopped at the door and released Infernape. He held out a PB&J sandwich with no crusts in his hand "You hungry?" Infernape growled before snatching the food. "We've both been through a lot and I understand if you choose to leave but just know you'll always be my friend" Infernape growled before bowing his head to Y/n as a sign of forgiveness. His anger was towards Neer not Y/n after all the bond they shared was still unbreakable.

Y/n finally made it to the gym surprisingly the gym floor was empty except for Byron. "I know who you are Y/n ,the trainer who travels with a Unova pokemon and the trainer with the most losses in Sinnoh history I remember you"

"Was the battle on Spear pillar just a flook or are you truly strong let's find out now"

"Magneton take the field" Magneton burst forward sparking with electricity. Y/n sent out Gliscor.

"Swords dance" Gliscor brandished its claws honing its attack.

Both Pokémon's attacks collided in a wave of smoke Magneton was thrown back slamming into the wall broken and defeated. "Nice work , Steelix come out" Y/n grinned and switched out Gliscor for Heracross.
