"why do we always move , I don't like moving from place to place"

"Mommm! Why can't I have a starter pokemon!?""

"Was I always such a brat??" were Y/n last words as his body flew back crashing him into the ground. A stream of blood soaked into his clothes as his wounds opened. Gazing directly at him from just beyond the harbor was the glowing eyes of Kyogre the beast that the old sailors used to call 'the soul of the sea'

The beast had let out a powerful roar the air sending Y/n flying but like always he got up. He wiped his brow and clenched his fists he staring back at the enormous creature outmatched yet completely fearless. Kyogre turned its great body swimming away not in fear but as a way in inviting y/n deeper into its territory. Y/n grinned before clutching the thunder stone in his hand.

"Let's do this." 

Rain poured heavily onto the area and massive winds filled the atmosphere making it difficult for Pelipper to fly. Kyogre had disappeared under the surface honing in on its prey .Suddenly a loud roar echoed from the depths  Kyogres great jaws burst from under the surface as the beast launched into the sky.

"UP" Y/n shouted , Pelipper flapped its wings squawking in fear Y/n hung on for dear life as Pelipper flew even higher getting closer to the sparking clouds 

"There's no going back now!" in an instant Y/n released his grip letting himself fall downwards towards the ocean the wind whipped past his ears as he pointed his feet downwards speeding towards Kyogres jaws. The beast prepared to gnash its prey but suddenly it slammed its jaws closed and lurched its head backwards away from Y/n.

Was it fear of its preys cunning tricks or perhaps it wanted to savor the battle. All that certain was that the match was far from over . Gliscor spread its wings breaking y/ns fall the two enemies locked eyes predator versus prey, pokemon versus human.

Gliscor glided east following the wind as Kyogre crashed into the sea Y/n counted in his head remembering every experience he had with the titan.

9...10...11..12!

Kyogre lurched from the sea riding a massive wave it took aim at Y/n "Pelipper ,Gliscor Now " Pelipper dive bombed from the sky snatching Y/n just as a massive blue beam fired at them barely grazing Y/ns shoes ripping the material from his heel. The attack collided into Iron Island shattering the mountainside. Y/n clutched his pocket urging to fallback on his final move but he held himself.

Calm down rushing things will only get you killed 

An image of his mother flashed in his mind blurring his vision and distracting him. Suddenly surge of water from Kyogres dive crashed into him sending him flying off Pelipper he screamed in shock he struggled to control his fall Gliscor beamed towards his master wrapping his claws around his shoulders but it was too late , Gliscor had broken Y/ns fall but he couldn't bring him out of range.

Kyogres massive jaws exploded from the sea remnants of dead pokemon and crushed ships were visible in its teeth. Y/n closed his eyes as Kyogres mouth opened beneath him. Y/n eyes darkened with despair as his fleeting dream cried out in one final desperate call for help.

GYARADOS!!!

Kyogres primal mind wa far more intelligent than other pokemon after everything it had seen from Y/n it couldn't help but be surprised and confused "Why wouldn't this thing give up"
