"AAAAAAargghhh" screamed Y/n heaving the weight above he chest. He had finally beat Maylene in the strength competition. Maylene clapped and lead him to the ring where they fought in 5 separate 3 minute rounds. Eventually Maylene waved her glove "That's enough fun now we can battle" Y/n wiped his brow and took a battle stance. It was meditite against shuppet.

"Use calm mind" Shuppet powered up.
"Use rock tomb" Boulders collided into shuppet"
"Use shadow ball" Shuppet blasted Meditite with a super effective shadow attack knocking it out instantly. Maylene stared in shock before sending out Machoke making Y/n grin
"Use psychic" Shuppet exerted its boosted psychic energy griping onto machoke and blasting it backwards ending the round. Maylene sent out Lucario her ace
"I'm in a bit of a bind, aren't I?" Lucario roared at the injured shuppet "Use metal claw" Lucario closed the gap and finished off Shuppet. Y/n sent out Gligar "Use swords dance" Gligar increased its attack by 2 stages.
Lucario used Aura sphere taking a third of Gligars health but Gligar shook it off "Use aerial ace" Gligar landed a dangerously accurate attack dealing massive damage. Lucario roared in pain and retaliated with a powerful Aura sphere making gligar shiver in exhaustion. "Finish this Gligar" Gligar pounced on its prey slicing Lucario down winning the bout.
"...OK. You win. That was a tough loss. I learned a lot from it. Please, accept this ." she handed y/n the badge "Y'know you didn't have to spar with me if you said no I would've let you go"
Y/n shrugged "Don't worry I enjoyed it" Maylene blushed and the pair exchanged phone numbers "The other gym leaders asked me to give you their numbers as well" Y/n was surprised but accepted it

Y/n and Maylene met up in game corner where Maylene showed him the ropes and they both won some excellent prizes , son night fell and Maylene and Y/n relaxed outside the pokemon center. "Y'know anything about aliens Y/n" Y/n was shocked but he nodded "Well many pokemon have been said to come from the stars so we can't rule it out" Maylene nodded "What about alternate universes, do you think there's a universe where you accomplish all your hopes and dreams'' Y/n smirked and began to walk off "Duh, it's this one"
Y/n stayed up almost the entire night taking shelter at Maylenes gyms, he strategized different plans and ate supper with his pokemon. Gligar however stared blankly at the moon basking in its rays. Y/n noticed this and sighed "I guess its time" he reached into his shirt and pulled out the fang necklace Cynthia gave him.
This necklace was not ordinary it was a razor fang necklace the fang had the ability to evolve both Weavile and Gligar and seeing Silver evolve his pokemon pushed Y/n to do the same. Gligar squealed in joy as his body began to glow and change.
