The tides of Durnab crashed violently washing chunks of debris and trash ashore. A defeated trainer lay sprawled on the shore drenched in seawater. Dazed and confused she struggled to her feet walking a few steps before collapsing.
How am I alive ?
The rays of the morning sun glared on her face only to be blocked by a shadow.
"Ah yes , there you are Shirona" (*her last name)
The shadow was accompanied by an unfamiliar pokemon who knelt down and picked her up gently and carried her away from the shore and into a nearby house. The trainer regained composure before gasping in shock.
"P-professor L/N!?!?" she said gasping the older face of her rescuer smiled. "I'm happy to see that you recognize after all these years Cynthia" She turned to the trainer with a fresh set of clothes and a warm cup of brew. "Do refrain from calling me professor , I left that life behind me "
Cynthia jumped at the woman clutching her hand "They told us you had gone missing ,disappeared during an expedition !" The professor grinned "That's half correct now sip your tea and get some rest I'll explain everything in a moment" Cynthia shook her head "There's no time to rest I need to know now!" The professor sighed "You're so much like my son it's scary" she cleared her throat and began.
"I am originally from Unova that is also where Y/n was born and where I began my research on Dominion, the powerful force that can subdue any living thing.I originally thought to harness this power for the good of mankind but I soon realized it was far from possible, you see the only human with this power was a man named Neer"
Cynthia shuddered at the name , the professor placed a hand on her shoulder "I was young and foolish ,I partnered with the man and stood by his side researching the miracle. All he asked was my secrecy"
The professors eyes darkened "I couldn't not stay silent not after I had witnessed the capabilities of this power but I couldn't just leave Neer my search for dominion had made me obsessed with him and his power I had to make a breakthrough.....and I did it's name is Y/n "
Cynthia's eyes widened in horror as she realized what the professor was saying "Neer is...Y/ns father!?!?" The professor nodded "In my desperation for answers I had to make sure I had lasting proof of Dominion. The professor looked away from Cynthia her eyes starting to tear. "I tried to keep Y/n a secret by cutting of my ties with Neer and going into hiding but Neer was relentless he tracked me down and managed to find out about Y/n before we fled to Sinnoh"
"What about oasis ?"
"Why'd they attack the Sinnoh region why not Unova?"
"Oasis is an organization dedicated to turning pokemon into weapons and assets, The unova regions elite four is one of the best established leagues in the west. The sinnoh region was a much easier target especially since their champion was so young"
Cynthia clenched her teeth and scowled "So it's my fault then?" she said her anger reaching a boiling point. The profesor held her hand "It's not your fault, you were too young to realize the world beyond the Sinnoh region"
This is all my fault if I was stronger then they wouldn't infect my home with their presence
"Neer is planning to gather enough manpower before taking over the region for good. He's gained the help of Team Rocket and worst of all is Colress ,a scientist dedicated to enhancing and bringing out the power of pokemon by whatever means necessary once their forces are gathered on Mount Coronet. Neer will draw out the legendary pokemon from this region and subdue them turning them into weapons" Cynthia sighed and turned to her remaining pokeballs before grinning slightly "and to think I was about to retire" Professor L/n pulled out a master ball and handed it to Cynthia I think you know who this belongs to" Cynthia stared at the ball before slowly nodding"I just hope he's still alive right now"

The wind whipped violently around Iron Island scattering the sands and over turning the waves. The rain pelted hard on Y/ns jacket as he stood on the edge of the docks.
"I never wanted my journey to be like this, if I was stronger then I could've kept everyone safe"

the Hoenn champion walked past the fallen trainer lowering his gaze "You're the champion STEVEN??" screamed Candace "How could you partner with these criminals?" Steven sighed and straightened his tie "Shut your filthy mouth before I bury you" Colress grinned "I sure am happy you're on our side" Colress opened his palm handing steven a master ball. "It's time" said Steven marching into Snowpoint temple
