Y/n pedaled straight to Oreburgh city and stashed his bike outside the gym. "One more time" he said getting ready to challenge for the umpteenth time. The doors slid open and Roark waved to y/n "no need to waste time let's get down to it" Y/n shook Roarks hand and they immediately began battling.
Cynthia toldmeIshouldn't hold back against y/n so I'll give it my all.
"Onix use stealth rock" Rocks covered the field. "Gligar use Iron tail" Gligar slammed its tail into Onix. Onix nearly gave way but toughed it out.
"Use sandstorm" a sandstorm brewed in the arena. Gligar finished Onix making Roark smile. Y/n switched out sending Heracross against Roarks' Rampardos. Heracross took damage from the sandstorm and stealth rock. "Use headbutt" Heracross took the attack "now use Counter" Heracross swung its elbow into its opponent sending it tumbling into the wall.
Y/n smiled and clapped for Heracross but Roark nodded and sent out his final pokemon. "I believe you have a score to settle y/n"
"Aerodactyl!!" The same winged beast as before took the stage screeching loudly. Y/n scowled "round two Dino brain"
"Use stone edge" Hercross swung massive boulders at Aerodactyl knocking it down but it shook it off. "Use air slash" Aerodactyl screeched and glided onto Heracross slashing its face , Heracross knelt to the floor taking damage from the sandstorm and the attack. "You did good leave the rest to us" Heracross collapsed onto the floor and y/n sent out Gligar.
"Use swords dance" Gligars power increased. "Use CRUNCH" Aerodactyl snapped its jaws on Gligar injuring it. "Use Iron tail" Gligar slammed its tail into Aerodactyl unhooking its jaws.
"Air slash" Aerodactyl sliced Gligars body sending it into the ground." Don't give in, use Iron tail" Gligar bounced upwards spinning like a shuriken and landing a perfectly timed Iron tail into Aerodactyls face. The tides changed as Aerodactyl fell to the ground. Roark was shocked "has he grown so much since the battle in the Oreburgh mines?"
Aerodactyl didn't get up and y/n celebrated his victory. Gligar leapt onto y/ns back licking his face. "I'm proud of you nutcase now calm down"
Roark shook y/ns hand smiling "there's no sugarcoating you have beat this gym for the last time" Y/n smiled and took the gym badge
"Also I remember our deal you were supposed to collect a fossil from me" Y/n shook his head "that's because I though Rock pokemon were strong but only idiots would think that" Roark sighed at the insult and y/n walked to the exit.
Whatever happened in that cave was so horrible it made him way stronger in only a few days and Iwasn't even holding back
"I hope you win all the battles you don't speak about" said Roark ,Y/n heard but he didn't respond.
He biked from Oreburgh all the way to hearthome city taking a rest at amity square. The team got healed up and y/n clutched a pokeball in his hand.

"Hello y/n" y/n turned his head to meet Bebe the woman he delivered the egg to.
