After the battle of Iron Island Cynthia being the only one that was still in her right mind gathered Silver and Y/n. Y/n was flat out unconscious and Silver was shaken to his core.
"It's a pity what happened to Skarmory but I can't say we weren't lucky we defeated a legendary pokemon and not only that we have captured it"
Silver nodded and clutched the great ball Y/n had used "he was on the brink of death but he still tried to catch it and in a great ball no less". Cynthia smirked she admired y/ns fighting spirit for years Io didn't matter that he was losing he still powered through everything and reached for the best outcome. This made it even stranger that he would abandon being a trainer for two whole years.
The thought played through the champions mind as she took Silver back to her grandmother's home in Celestic town. Silver didn't want to stay but she persuaded him by promising to make him stronger. Minutes after arriving she'd already sent her story out to the newspapers trying her best to dilute the story and she'd also sent Slowpoke to a private hospital funded by the Pokémon league. As for Skarmory all hope had been lost ,she took Silver to the Pokémon tower and they said goodbye.
She couldn't tell if Silver was moved by his pokemons death but she didn't pay much attention as her next problem was awaiting.

Rowan was one of the few trustworthy people she knew. She had known the man since childhood and trusted him with her secrets. She gave him the great ball containing Kyogre as asked him to run a scan on it.
"Well Cynthia I have good news and bad news" Cynthia sighed when was she ever only going to receive good news.
"Well what is it?"
"It seems like Kyogre has been subdued for now at least, it seems to be resting from its wounds and not trying to break out of this balls confines" Cynthia sighed in relief at least she wouldn't have to be worrying about another battle.
"What's the bad news Professor" The Professors face darkened with worry.
"It seems like the great ball is glitching or malfunctioning and that can only mean one thing.......Kyogre doesn't belong to y/n"
There was a silence in the lab the only noise being made was Cynthia's heart pounding almost out of her chest.
"Professor explain" Cynthia already had an idea on what the professor was about to say but she couldn't even believe herself at this point.
"A pokeball glitch is a term we used when I was young it refers to when a pokemon from another trainer is captured with another pokeball it is unheard off by your generation but it used to be a big issue that the science community had to fix. The point I'm trying to make is that Kyogres original pokeball is a glitch pokeball which should be impossible to have in this generation unless they're using a new type of pokeball technology that's running into the same problems we had when I was a young lad"
