People are used to hearing the phrase "with great power comes great responsibility" the phrase is true but what also comes with great power is a greater sense of unease. Whilst Y/n had come to terms with his power his mind was filled with anxiety and distress.
What should he be doing with his power?
If he doesn't use his power to constantly serve others does that make him evil?
Every death that he could prevent is he responsible for it ?
He sat alone at the edge of lake Acuity staring at the sunlight slowly peeking from the horizon.
"I hope I'm not too late" came a gasping voice. Y/ns gaze softened as Cynthia took a seat next to him "You didn't sleep well did you?" she asked with a concerned look on her face.
"Not at all" replied Y/n. The pair relaxed near the lake and gazed at the sunset. "Tell me what's wrong Y/n?"
Y/n leaned on her shoulder and began opening up about his problem. "If I act like I don't have the power I know I can have the life I want but I'll constantly be living with the guilt of knowing that there's people I could've saved and if I keep this power to myself for selfish reasons doesn't that make me more like Neer?" Cynthia listened attentively to Y/ns thoughts one after the other and only once Y/n had calmed did she speak.
"I think you're completely normal for feeling like this y/n ,the fact that you're feeling guilty about not using your power for good is proof enough that you're not like Neer at all "
"If I decide to not use my power to help others does that make me a bad person ,is it not selfish of me ?" Cynthia masssaged Y/ns head as he laid on her lap. "I think you're an amazing person Y/n but you're very much human and even though you have a great power inside of you it doesn't mean you should give up your humanity and become a nothing more than a tool to help everyone in need"
"But what do I do now that I have the power of Dominion ?"
"The same thing you'd do if you didn't, focus on making yourself and your friends and family proud and take care of them as best as you can. If the world comes to need you again then I'll be right next to you fighting by your side"
"We will both become stronger to protect this region and neither of us will ever fight alone"

Cynthia baseked in the early rays before turning to Y/n. "It's beautiful isn't it Y/n?" a soft snoring came from Y/ns lips as he finally fell asleep. "Sleep tight rookie"
