Blazing Winds Zuko X reader

The ship

Y/n POV:

Me and Katara ran as fast as we could after Aang! but he got there first.

"Aang get out!" I yelled.

"ah c'mon Y/n how bad could it be!" Aang chirped. i couldn't hear him that well but i did hear Katara's warning unlike him.

"Aang it could be booby trapped!" She warned as we went inside. Aang got the head start so it took a bit to find him. when we did he was spinning around on one of his air Balls.

"this palce is neat. but why does the firenation need these?" Aang questioned.

"Aang you dummy. Katara even warned us the fire antion whiped out the rest of the air nomads!" I yelled he got starteled and toppled over. as he fell he tried to catch himself and set off a flair.

"whoops! hope that's not bad." Aang grinned. Katara looked terrified.

"Aang we need to get back." I said, Aang noticed the serious tone and finally listened.

The walk back i stayed silent as Aang and Katara talked about stuff. but i knew something was wrong i knew it. it only became obvious when soot was mixed in with the snow.

"oh no." Katara gasped.

"what's wrong Katara!" Aang asked. 

"we have to hurry! the fire nation is back!" Katara yelled and ran towerds her tribe I fallowed behind than Aang.

When we arrived We saw a boy about my age grabbing gran gran's coat and demanding something.

"where's the avatar!" The boy demanded ansers. Aangs eyes widend with terror. 

"hey you!" I yelled. gaining his attention. "let go of gran gran!" I scoweld. he let go pushing her into the snow.

"Who do you think you are!" he turned towerds me and i got a good look at his face, he had a giant scar over his eye and he seemed to be from the fire nation.

"I think I'm Y/n." i said annoyingly and it worked. "who are you?" I asked.

"Zuko crowned prince of the fire nation" He Told me my eyes widend. This was a fire nation prince. I always loved the fire nation... I wished to be a fire bended so often... but this this was wrong.

"Y/n we should go." Aang whispered.  That's when Zuko noticed Aang.

"You're the avatar?" He raised a brow. Aang got scared so i stood a bit in front of him protectivly.

"What's it to you?" i scoweld.

"My duty is to hunt down the avatar." He exclaimed. "but him he's just a kid." Zuko contineud.

"well your just a teenager." Aang pointed out. 

Zuko got mad, Really mad. it wasn't hard to tell based on how he threw ire at us. I dodged it by rolling off to the right. Aang used air to jump up and towards him. his staff in hand a fight broke out between the two boys. it was clear Zuko had some form of training from how he fought, but what suprised me was how fast he took down Aang. I jumped in ready to bend at him but something was wrong, very wrong

Instead of air pushing out like I expected out came

Bright...

Red...

FIRE!!

Everyone was suprised even me as the fire almost hit zuko, he rolled out of the way (unfortunettly)

"so You're a fire bender?" Zuko questioned.

"Apperetnly?" i said. i had absolutly no clue how but that fire was my fire. 

"then why protect the avatar he's the enemy of the fire nation!" Zuko yelled.

"Ya know maybe I'd care if i was from the fire nation!" I Tried to blast him with air but more fire came out!!

"UGH!! why won't my bending work!!" I was very angry and disctracted. I've been an airbender all my life i bended erlier today!!how could this happen next thing i knew i was on the ground. And Aang was taken to there ship. by a few soldiers.

"HEY DON"T HURT MY BROHER!!" I yelled this made Zuko stop.

"your brother?" Zuko qustioned. He Motioned for gaurds to ring me too. but for me they knoked me out before brining me.

"Why didn't my bending work?"  I thought I just didn't undersatnd.
