recovering

Y/n POV:

the last thing i remember was seeing Avatar Roku exit from the room where Aang was. so where am I know? I have a crushing headache. i don't know how long I'd been lying down but it felt like forever. after a bit of subtly regaing concious i noticed some quite talking and someone was holding my hand I finally chose to open my eyes and I saw Rina over by the door talking to Nuzu. it hit me I was back on Zuko's ship. I tried to sit up but was in to much pain.

"She's awake!" Zuko told Rina. I didn't even notice he was here but when I turned my head I saw Zuko was the one holding my hand. 

Rina sighed out of relief. she walked over and began to ask the typical doctor questions. 'where does it hurt' stuff like that.

"I see you'll need to take it easy for a few days until you recover."  Rina explanned.

"Recover from what?" I questioned. Rina looked down in sadness. I looked over to Zuko who seemed to feel guilty. after a bit Nuzu spoke up.

"You were hit by a huge boulder so the prince got you out..." Nuzu told me.

"But why're you all so upset?" I asked. 

"your brother escaped, and Prince Zuko found something." Rina told me.

"what did you find?" I asked Zuko. at this point I had my senses back the wind told me, he found my dairy and read a page about me missing Aang.

"it's nothing..." Zuko told me. he didn't know i could listen to the wind.

"I can tell it's something. what did you find?" I told him. I wanted to know his side of this story.

"it's just-" Zuko sighed. "I don't understand, you left as soon as you saw the avatar." Zuko told me.

"well yeah he's my brother." I said puzzeled. Zuko finally looked up I saw his tear stained face. Rina and Nuzu left, not like I blame them. most of the crew was scared of Zuko.

"Y/n... I want to be the one you run too." Zuko told me. h

"Zuko I-" before i could say more he cut me off with a kiss, I was shocked to say the least. I can't explain what i was feeling, but right there in that moment I kissed back.

my emotions were in charge right now I didn't care what would happen next becouse it made sense now. Zuko cared about me. after a bit we pulled away. I could see Zuko blushing.

"Y/n, you mean a lot to me. please don't run from me again i wouldn't be able to handle it." Zuko told me, while squeezing my hand. he despratly wanted me to stay with him.

"I promise." I said without thinking. he's actively hunting my brother, but in this moment I saw him for who he really is. I can't see him as my enemy anymore. Zuko smiled softly.

"You should get some rest Y/n, I'll walk you back." Zuko told me. he held my hand gently and walked me to my room. after he left i layed on my bed i didn't regret kissing back, but all of a sudden I got nervous.

"Aang can't know." I whispered to myself.
