Y/n POV:

I don't know how long I was asleep. But it felt like forever. With all the strong emotions I've been having I guess I needed this. I haven't told anyone yet about my meeting with Lisa, I don't think I ever will. it was evening now, Zuko got a new lead on Aang. this time though something seemed off I didn't ask though. I was still thinking through what Lisa told me.

"what did she mean? that they won't let me be alone?" I questioned while looking out at the sunset. I sighed as I looked out, "when'd my life get so complicated?" I wonderd. I was so out of it I didn't hear Zuko coming towards me. he put his hand on my shoulder, making me finally notice he's here.

"Y/n, what's wrong." Zuko said his voice was soft and comforting. my first instinct was too say I'm fine, but I stopped myself.

"life just seems to get more and more complex. Sometimes it's just hard to understand why things happen." I told him. we both looked out at the last few moments of the sun set. Zuko understood but didn't know how to help so we just stood together watching the sky. the sun was set long after we departed so I could go to sleep.

I was in a different room since the storm this one was next to Zuko's. I guess he wanted to make sure I was safe at night.

late that night though I heard him exit his room. he was trying to be quiet but the wind told me, he was going somewhere. almost definetly to find Aang. despite everything I still need to look after Aang!

I gripped my staff and flew out the window of my room, I saw a small ship with ZUko on it and fallowed distantly behind him. after about an hour he arrived on land I swiftly landed in the trees I saw he was wearing all black, and a blue spirit mask.

"what're you doing Zuko?" I whispered I didn't want him to know I was here, it'd make him worry and he was clearly doing something important.

I softly hoped through trees to fallow him. he still hadn't noticed me, which was a huge relief. after a bit he hid under a cart. my eyes narrowed, in aggravation as the cart entered a fire nation fortress. I kept my distance not wanting to get found. that's when I heard it...

"Aang is in there..." I whispered fearfully. I was panicking on the inside, I couldn't keep it together Zuko was almost definetly trying to steal him from this place and give him to the fire nation himself. I waited at the entrance trying to stay hidden and wait in the meantime though I needed a disguise Zuko could not know!

I eventually saw an annoying guard whistling while going back to the fort, I used my wind to make a distraction behind the guard.

"what the?" he whispered as he turned. I jumped down and took him out swiftly. I changed into his armor keeping my clothes on underneath. I walked to the entrance best I could but heard loud alarms and fighting. I ran to the entrance and saw Zuko and Aang running to the entrance. but the doors were closing. Zuko was falling behind, Aang stayed back though to help fight. meanwhile I...

I froze...

all my life I've done what I felt was right without a second thought. this time though, my brother and my lover were in danger... but Aang couldn't know I wouldn't let him find out about us...

I stayed there watching thankfully I wasn't noticed all of a sudden though they came flying towards me. I finally moved but it was to hide behind a tree, I watched them walk but Zuko had Aang between his swords!!

I saw an arrow coming though now I came back full force, becouse I ran in front of the arrow. it hit me instead and I fell, but the helmet I had on also fell. it revealed myself to Zuko and Aang. Zuko dropped his swords I could tell he was feeling guilty, Aang was able to break through and run toweads me.

"Y/n!!' Aang yelled he used his wind to make a smoke screen. "Y/n get up!!" Aang yelled. I looked up at him.

"it's just an arrow I'm fi-" I was interrupted by my crushing pain.

"Don't worry I'll get you back to the others we-" Aang was interrupted by Zuko.

"No medicine. no supplies. people who hate her?" Zuko finished. he took off his mask.

"What're you talking about!?" Aang yelled. Aang pulled me closer to him. causing me to wince in pain.

"SEE!? YOU'RE CAUSING HER PAIN!!" ZUko yelled. Aang was getting scared.

"Stop fighting..." I said weakly. I heard the gates open and the fire nation troops coming towards us. "Aang, run!!" I yelled.

"No not without you! I can't leave you with Zuko!" he exclaimed. Zuko was about to say something but Aang picked me up. and bounced away in the trees.

Zuko saw the fire nation coming and left towards his ship. As Aang carried me I looked back at Zuko with guilt... but maybe this was for the best.
