Lisa and the storm

Y/n POV:

I just started my recovery time, Zuko visited me as much as possible even though Rina didn't want him too. But no one could refuse him, he's there prince after all.

To this day I had no idea why he was hunting Aang. It baffled me, I also didn't know how he got that scar, the crew seems to think it was a training accident when I asked Nuzu. It doesn't seem right though.

Right now I'm doodling in my journal, I was drawing Zuko the way I saw him. I remember when I first was here as a prisoner I drew him then his the picture. Honestly though I have no clue where it went. I soon heard a knock on my door.

"Y/n may I come in?" I heard Iroh ask.

"Sure!" I replied.

"I was wondering if you wanted to learn more fire nation pass times." Iroh offered. My eyes lit up. I only ever learned pai sho!

"I'd love too!" I cheered. "Wait won't Rina get mad if I leave?" I questioned.

"That's why I checked with her first." Iroh explained. I smiled brightly excited to learn more about the fire nation's culture.

He took me down to where the crew hangs out and I saw most of the crew talking bad about Zuko. I got mad, they looked over and saw me and Iroh.

"general Iroh? Y/n? sorry we were just-" A crew member I knew as kai started. 

"no it's time you knew the full story." Iroh interrupted. "Y/n I'll show you more games some other time." Iroh said then we sat down with the crew and Iroh told us the story of how Zuko got his scar.

"so the only way he can go home is by capturing Aang?" I questioned. It all made sense, why he was so obsessed... but I still couldn't let him have Aang!

I don't know who's side I'm on anymore. so that night for the first time since before the iceberg. I meditated. I sat in bed with my fists together. I was never good at meditating but maybe it'll help? 

after a while I opened my eyes in disappointment but I wasn't on the ship I was in a jungle??

"what the-" I started

"you finally showed up?" I heard from behind me. I swiftly turned around and saw a women she looked like Lisa my mentor, but wore fire nation clothes.

"It's been awhile Y/n." Lisa told me. 

"is it really you?" I questioned.

"who else would it be?" She chuckled hardily.

"but how! the air nomads they-!" she interuppted me.

"died?" SHe finished my sentence. "most did but a handful weren't in the temple. like the search party for the avatar and his sister.

"you went searching for us?" I asked. I felt guilty now.

"yes, we never did find you but I found a new life in the fire nation." Lisa told me.

"WHAT HOW!? THEY KILLED-" I exclaimed but she raised her hand signiling me to stop. she almost never did so I Imideitly shut up.

"I found a man who was different. a lot like you and Zuko, but my husband took my life when he found out." She said.

"your dead?" I asked sadly.

'It's been actively 100 years what do you think?" SHe chuckled hardily again. I missed this, then it dawned on me.

"then how are you here?" I asked.

"the spirits took pity on me and took me to there world, and I've been here since." She explained. "heck I was able to give you fire bending." She said. my head shot up.

"WHAT!? IT WAS YOU??" I questioned.

"well duh! you're my student even after death, and since you're the avatar's sister and guardian it wasn't hard." She told me. "now let's talk about Zuko." SHe said her fun deminer dropping. I gulped in fear.

"does he treat you well?" She asked.

"yeah..." I said shakily.

"hm very convincing." she told me.

"HEY! He cares about me and saved my life! he really cares!" I told her angrily.

"that's more like it." Lisa smirked. I looked at her puzzled "you're going to struggle Y/n you always have. but this time you can't alone" Lisa explained

"why can't I?" I questioned nervously.

"they won't let you." Lisa chuckled. "now let's get you back to that ship. someone is trying to wake you up." Lisa told me.

"wait! will i see you again?" I asked. she nodded her head.

"Of course you will." She confirmed. then I opened my eyes and saw ZUko and Rina crowding me.

"Thank the spirits." Rina sighed relieved.

"Y/n we need to get higher there's a storm coming." Zuko warned me. the panic set in. i remember the last storm that was bad!

"c'mon Y/n no time to space out!" Rina insisted. we rushed to the outer deck. a huge blast of lightning came and hit the tower.

"The helmsman!" Someone yelled. Zuko and KAi went running for the dangling person. I was frightened by the lightning and scared for Zuko. as he claimed the slippery latter. I noticed another lighting coming for the ship. Iroh redirected it though! Zuko caught the helmsman and passed him to Kai. Kai made it safely down but Zuko slipped and started falling.

I ran without hesitation he's saved me so many times. It's time to return the favor! using my air I jump up and catch him in my arms. the crew watched in amazement they always seem to forget I can air bend too.

I safely landed and put Zuko down but the adrenilin wore off. so I tumbled down. Zuko went  down to my level on the ground. he was worried. I could hear the wind telling me, how much he loves me. I could barely think i was exhausted and still recovering.

"thank you Y/n, just hang in there we're going to make it out!" Zuko promised.

"then get ready we're going to the eye of the storm." Iroh told everyone.

when we made it Zuko was holding me, an arm around my waist. it really looked like we were a couple. he helped me stand though. then Appa came rushing out of the water it seems I missed something.  saw Aang he locked eyes with Zuko who did nothing Appa flew far away.
