Blazing Winds Zuko X reader

Rina's rage

Y/n POV:

I began to stir awake, I heard aggressive pacing i was disoriented than I heard yelling. at this point in time I can tell waking up in confusion and hearing yelling means I'm back on Zuko's ship. as i became more awake and felt a huge burning pain on my arm and part of my torso.

i yelled in pain for the first time in 5 years well 105 now. the deep pain i felt made it hard to tell the crew, Rina, and Zuko, were crowded around me. I felt like my arm was burning then i remembered it is, or at least was... in my current state I thought i was alone.

"Zuko burned me..." I whispered, but turns out I was not in fact alone.

"YOU WHAAAAT!?" i heard Rina's yell. i quickly sat up and saw everyone looking at Zuko some with shock, other's disappointment, but Rina felt rage. pure flaming rage.

"Everyone out, except Prince Zuko..." Rina's voice was cold. i could tell Zuko was getting nervous. the crew shuffled out of the medical cabin and once the last one was out the door the yelling began.

"YOU SERIOUSLY THOUGHT IT WOULD BE OK TO BLAST Y/N WITH FIRE!?!" Rina yelled.  but Zuko said nothing. the wind told me he was feeling guilt, regret, but also shame...

"Rina. stop yelling, he feels bad enough..." I told her. Rina looked at me then pinched her nose annoyed.

"Y/n have you seen the damage done?" she asked.

"No, but I feel it. I also feel Zuko's regret though." I told her. Rina groaned in annoyance

"I'll be back with pain killers." Rina told us before leaving.

"Y/n I-" Zuko started but I interrupted.

"you burned me... Zuko I'm going to need time to process this..." I told him

"Y/n you know i didn't mean too!" Zuko exclaimed.

"No you tried to hit Aang, my little brother." I started tearing up. "this whole adventure has been a blazing whirlwind of emotions, i don't know whose side I'm on... or whose side i should be on!" tears flowed from my eyes.

"Y/n..." In that moment Zuko saw the mental pain I've been going through. "Y/n tell me everything you've been feeling." he spoke with kindness I looked at him confused.

"I won't let you suffer alone. Y/n I love you and i will never let you fight your inner demons alone. not again..." Zuko told me. i gave a soft chuckle. 

"wow Lisa was right..." i said softly Zuko looked confused. 

"who's Lisa?" Zuko asked

"an air bender from years ago, and my mentor... she told me, one day I'd meet my true love and they wouldn't let me suffer alone..." i smiled at him. he realized what I meant. 

he leaned in, i could feel his warmth i leaned towards him it felt magical...

"alright i brought the pain killer-" we heard Rina start we both jerked up seeing her she looked dumfounded at first then smiled "well looks like Nao owes me ten silver pieces" Rina smiled. 

"your not mad?" I questioned.

"No I'm furious now more than ever. he did blast his girlfriend with fire." Rina said. i knew she wasn't lying but the words she used... 

'Girlfriend' am i a good girlfriend? am i even a girlfriend. i looked down lost in thought.

"we're not official" Zuko explained. Rina shrugged.

"you two are perfect for each other." she spoke like it was the most common thing ever. not much more was said, until one of the crew mates came into the room. he was muscalure and older then Zuko and I, but the wind told me he was scared.

"Nao? what's up?" Rina asked. 'so that's Nao?' I thought to myself

"Is Y/n gonna die?" Nao asked. my head jerked up, was I?! I could feel Zuko tense.

"Y/n will be fine she'll just have a scar on her arm." Rina told him. Nao sighed in relief.

"that's good, she's the best part of the crew..." Nao said I was a bit surprised.

"I am?" I questioned.

"well yeah the way you saved Prince Zuko during the storm! the way you keep everyone in such a good mood! you're the best!" Nao exclaimed starry eyed. i was surprised to say the least.

"thanks, but i'm not technically part of the crew." I told him he looked confused.

"I didn't explain much about you too the crew" Zuko explained. I was about to talk when Iroh came into the room with a tea pot and 3 cups.

"Rina, Nao. may I have a moment with my nephew and Y/n." Iroh requested, Rina and Nao left I was kinda worried about what Iroh would say, did he know we were in love? Zuko probably told him

"I figured something would happen with you two." Iroh said a look of sadness on his face, but it was quickly replaced with a hearty smile. "You both are a great couple!"

"Uncle we're not together, together..." Zuko said. I could tell he was still feeling guilty so I held his hand and gave him a a soft smile.

"you say you're not official but neither of you are nervous holding hands." Iroh smiled and he gave us both a cup of tea.

I felt Zuko's arm wrap around me, so I snuggled into his arm

I was nervous but we ended up talking and sharing stories, I read in a book once that couples will do this with their parents to get their partner approved or something... I smile to myself I never thought i'd find love especially not like this.
