Blazing Winds Zuko X reader

Friends pt 2

Y/n pov

I got yue and Sokka but by the time we made it back to aang, it was too late...

"Katara what happened?" Sokka asked.

"He took him, he took him from right under me..." Katara cried. I didn't realize what I was doing until yue noticed.

"Y/n don't cry he'll be ok." Yue said warmly.

"I'm what?!" I looked down and saw my tears flowing. I haven't cried from emotions in a long time. I thought I was done crying...

I dropped to my knees In tears.

"C'mon y/n-" Sokka started.

"I know..." I interrupted. everyone exchanged worried looks. "I know I'm not supposed to cry..." I finished.

"Y/n what are you talking about... Everyone cries. It's part of being human" Katara told me. I looked at her.

She meant it...
Every word she meant...
She believes humans can cry...?

"That's not what I was gonna say..." Sokka began. "I was saying, you're not the type to sit around. You're the type to take action! So do it TAKE ACTION!" Sokka yelled.

Any other day I would've found this  cheesey but today, it's exactly what I needed!

"Your right Sokka. Thanks." I stopped crying. "Let's go save my brother, Our friend, and the world's hope!"

We mounted appa, and took to the skies. It's been a long time since I yelled yip yip  I needed this reminder of the temple.
Soon a blizzard set in.

"Appa you got this." I told him. I pet his head with a smile.

Katara and yue were worried, Sokka was comforting them. I was thinking. What's Zuko's plan from here..? I know Iroh told him to infiltrate the fire navy ship but that's where my info ends.

"Look!" Katara yelled suddenly. My head jurked towards a bright blue light.

"Aang!? Appa yip yip!!" I yelled. Appa went as fast as we could.

We saw a cave that aang was trying to get out of. Zuko cought him

"It'll take more then that!" Zuko yelled.

"How about this!! I yelled while plunging down with fire.

"Sha can what??" I heard yue baffled.

"Y/n what're you doing!?" Zuko yelled.

"I'm sorry Zuko I can't let aang die." I took a stance.

"I'm not fighting you..." Zuko said.

"But you'll fight aang?" I asked.

"Y/n..." Zuko said softly. I could feel how betrayed he felt Even if the wind was still yelling 'koi'.

"I'm sorry..." I told him another tear fell from my eyes. I zoomed towards him and whispered "I'll save you now..." Then knocked him out with air in a hopefully painless way.

Zuko fell to the ground and Sokka just aang out.

"Hey this is some quality rope!" Sokka spok joyfully. Katara put a hand on my shoulder.

"Are you alright y/n?" Katara asked.

"No. But I never was..." I picked up Zuko.

"Y/n what're you doing?" Sokka asked.

"Saving this dork." I shrugged. I tied him in the rope just in case. And put him on Appa.

"C'mon guys hurry!!" Aang yelled. "The moon is in danger!" He called we got on Appa. And flew to the spiritual center.

"Does this have something to do with the koi?" I asked.

"Yes the koi are twi and la! Or the moon and ocean!" Aang yelled. My eyes widened.

"Hurry! Yip yip!!" I called.

Half way through the moon turned red and the wind stopped? Well I felt blowing it but I couldn't hear it.

"I feel faint.." yue said

"I feel it too.." aang Said.

"I owe the moon spirity life" yue explained how she was saved by the moon spirit when she was a baby.

When we arrived at the spiritual center, zhao was there. a scowl came across my face.

The moon koi was in a bag, which would explain the red moon. We hopped off Appa, weapons raised!

Zhao raised his fist to the koi

"Zhao don't." Aang Said softly his hands raised in peace.

"It's my destiny To destroy the moon spirit. And wipe out the water tribe.

"Destroying that koi will hurt everyone!" I yelled. He was shocked to see me with the avatar.

"She's right Zhao." Iroh said as he came into view.

"General Iroh why am I not surprised to discover your a traitor." Zhao Said.

"I'm no traitor Zhao, whatever you do to that fish I'll unleash on you ten fold!" Iroh yelled. Zhao set the fish back in...

Only to blast it with a fire that blasted up to the sky. Iroh wasn't lying about ten fold. He took out Zhao's men in an instant. But he slipped away. I saw and ran after him

"Come back coward!!" I Yelled. I saw zuko going towards him as well. He looked over at me.  I noded my head towards Zhao.

We interrupted his path.

"Prince zuko your alive??" Zhao asked in disbelief.

"You tried to have me killed!!" Zuko yelled blasting fire.

"Yes I did. You should've-" I sliced through the air with wind causing him to stop and look.

"Your an air nomad!?" He exclaimed.

"Sorta!" I exclaimed as I took on the stance zuko taught me, I kicked  fire that sent him flying and he crashed in the bridge.

Zuko nodded at me. I smiled back.

Soon we noticed a giant water beast?? It came by and took out the fire navy ships!

I watched in awe as I noticed aang was in there! Unfortunately distractions in a battle don't end well as I saw Zhao blasting a flaming uppercut at me.

I got blasted back. I saw the water beasts arm reach up and grab Zhao. Zuko noticed and offered his hand. Zhao though... Zhao refused.

He was pulled away into the sea.

I smiled seeing zuko try to help even if Zhao was too stubborn to accept.

I winced In pain.

"Y/n!!" Zuko ran to me. "I failed..." He said.

"Zuko I'm fine!" I said weakly.

"I was supposed to protect you though!" He yelled. I reached up and touched his scars.

"Your only human." I told him. He looked at me, lovingly.

But than the moon came back. It was beautiful.

"Y/n... I can't protect you now." Zuko began. I gave him a 'serioisly' look. "No. Listen, you deserve to be safe. So until I restore my honor please stay with your brother...." He spoke softly.

"What but-" he cut off my protests with a kiss. I kissed back, I didn't want him to disappear... But he made it clear this was the road he was taking.

So I let him leave to find his uncle... I went back to find Aang.
