Stormy Night

Y/n POV: 

Iroh was showing me a couple fire nation pass times. He was destroying me at Pai Sho, it was really fun and soon When I was getting better most of the crew was watching. I was winning and there were only a few turns left I bet I was doing good!

"dang this girl is beating General Iroh!" One crew mate said.

"Good skills but isn't she a prisoner." Another said. I was about to win. The last move almost there until we heard a giant thud the thud of huge waves on the ship. I immedeatly freaked out. Zuko came storming in.

"There's a storm get back to your posts!!" Zuko yelled. He was mad but it went to a hole knew level when he noticed me fraeking out and struggling to remember my move. Iroh looked worried and was trying to comfort me.

"Why is Y/n out!?" Zuko yelled. 

"we made a deal and It would have been annoying to bring all the pai sho and Tea into her cell!" Iroh explanned. Zuko was beyond mad and the crew scattered and got to their posts.

"YOU THINK I BELEIVE THAT!?" Zuko yelled. "Y/N  GET BACK TO YOUR CELL!!" Zuko yelled. I guess he didn't realize I was having a panic attack. So Iroh explanned.

"Prince Zuko she's in no place to move on her own!" Iroh explained. 

Zuko finally noticed My hands gripped my hair and i was muttering in panic 'this is the end' I thought to myself I had no clue what was happening anymore but I felt myself get picked up. I looked up and saw Zuko carrying me. I was confused but the storm was shaking the ship violently so i clung onto him. I didn't think about how he was hunting my brother, I didn't concider what would happen next I just knew i felt safer in her arms, so I started to calm down. For this moment I could trust him and I could tell he trusted me. 

He opened a door but it didn't sound like the cell door. I fianlly was able to notice my surrondings I seemed to be in someone's room?? I looked up at Zuko who looked worried.

"stay here while I get my ship under control. Rina will be up soon." Zuko told me he set me down On the bed and swiftly left. well tried to another wave crashed into us and he hesitated. he pulled back and went towerds me he wrapped his arms around me in comfort and support. it was calming but than I heard something... something that's terrified me my hole life...

the distant...

scary...

roar... 

The roar of thunder!!

I cried out in suprise I felt Zuko's arms tighten around me I clung to him fearfully.

"Y/n I'll protect you don't worry." Zuko said.

"I'm sorry..." I told him. it was always a thing I did... I'd always say sorry when I felt bad or like a burden.

"Y/n you have nothing be sorry for." Zuko told me.  "I'm the one who brought you on a ship I knew this was a bad idea." Zuko said than muttered something else but I couldn't make it out.

"thank you Zuko" I said and I meant it I didn't know why but I saw him diffrently now he seemed worried and concerened the way he looked at me... was this really my enemy?

"I'll always protect you when you need me." Zuko told me. I couldn't tell where this came from but I knew it was true. I also knew there was a faint blush on his cheek but I don't think he did.

"i don't understand-" I started. Zuko interrupted.

"you don't need to. you just need to accept it." Zuko told me his strong arms were still holding me close. I decided just this once I'd do what he said.
