Everything is fine

Y/n pov:

'I've been here for over a week. Still no sign of Ang or anyone rescuing me...' I wrote down 'zuko gave me a journal recently so here I am writing down my inner thoughts.'

eventually I started doodling at the bottom of the page. There wasn't much to do on sea days. I doodled arrows and sky bison. I didn't want to miss the temple but I sorta did... But I never belonged with them

All of a sudden I heard a small knock on my door, meaning Rina was here. She's the only one that knocks.

"Come in" I called. Coming in Rina looked nervous. Which was not uncommon but she looked really shaken.

"Y/n? The crew wants to talk to you..." Rina said.

"About what?" I asked suspiciously.

"You and Zuko..." She said quietly. I raised an eyebrow.

"What about us?" I questioned.

"Umm well it's hard to explain..." Rina said. I got confused.

"I'll go ask the crew then." I said then left to find the crew Zuko let's me walk around the ship now so there shouldn't be a problem. I found the crew in the brake area.

"So Rina said you guys needed me?" I questioned making myself known. One of them stood up from his chair he was easily twice my size, and probably twice my age

"Not you. We just need to know what you want with the prince." He huffed. I raised a brow in suspicion. Another stood up and he looked younger but I couldn't tell with the helmet on, But I could tell he was kinda scrawwny.

"What he means is, are you too a couple." He asked and even though I couldn't see his eyes I could tell they lit up. Meanwhile I was there beyond confused.

"What in the world do you mean?" I questioned.

"Well it's not everyday he smiles. And he smiles around you." The scrawwny boy exclaimed.

"I hate to break it to you but we're not a couple." I said but they didn't believe me. Then I figured I should ask

"Also what are your names?" I asked nervously.

"Oh! I'm Nuzu! This is big bro Evan!" The scrawwny boy exclaimed. He pointed at the big guy.

"Just call me Evan." The big guy said. One by one everyone introduced themselves.

"Well it's nice to meet you all!" I said cheerfully.

"Nice to meet you too!" Nuzu cheered. we all talked for a while until Zuko came storming in Iroh right behind him trying to calm him.

"DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE Y/N WENT!!" Zuko yelled in rage, but there was an undertone of concern. I chuckled.

"Hello to you too Zuko." I said behind him.

"Y/n there you are!" He seemed more calm but Zuko was never fully calm.

"Do you need something?" I questioned.

"You're coming with me for training" he yelled and to my surprise he didn't grab my arm or wrist he grabbed my hand.

These people are totally going to use this as proof we're dating. Zuko led me to the outer deck and showed me some forms.
Honestly fire bending forms were a big puzzle to me. 'I'm thankful to have Zuko helping.' I thought. Then realized he's supposed to be my enemy they all are... They killed my people.

Zuko seemed to notice I got sad.

"We didn't kill them." He said simply I looked at him surprised. "Our ancestors did..." Zuko continued. Was he trying to comfort me!?

"I know you guys didn't but..." My stance dropped. "You're still after Aang..." I finished. I could tell Zuko felt conflicted. I just didn't understand why!!

Why does he care...
Why does he make me happy...
Why doesn't life make sense anymore...

I didn't understand anything anymore and I think Zuko could tell I was distressed because he held my hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze.

"I'm here for you Y/n." Zuko told me. I pulled him closer into a hug. He he hugged.

"Do you need to talk about it?" Zuko asked.

"No I'll be fine." I said with a smile... I just wish it was a real one.

Zuko walked me back to my room holding my hand the hole way. I don't think I convinced him I was fine...

When we got there Zuko seemed to be fiddling with something in his pocket.

"Y/n I have something for you." Zuko told me. I looked at him confused. He pulled out a small necklace. It had a clover charm with four leaves.

I looked up at him puzzled.

"A four leaf clover means luck. I thought you might need some" Zuko told me. He helped me put the necklace on. I couldn't help but blush

"Thank you Zuko." I smiled. A real smile, I felt.
