Jet

Y/n POV:

Aang and the others were able to secure some new clothes for me, and dang I look good! (See above) we just landed to get some food. Katara and Sokka were arguing. 

"My instincts say we should be walking!" Sokka complained. this went on for awhile.

"Sure Sokka we can walk!" Aang chirped. Aang was finally in a good mood again, but he didn't say anything about my time on Zuko's ship he seemed to be ignoring it.

we were all walking for about an hour. Aang was already complaining

"How do people get around without flying bison." Aang complained.

"Aang this is how other nations move." I chuckled.

"well it sucks. i'm sick of carrying this bag." Aang said.

"Aang maybe you could get Sokka's instincts to help becouse they're so helpful." Katara mocked. Sokka was about to say more, but we stumbled into a fire nation camp where we were surrounded.

"Let us pass and we won't hurt you." Sokka said.

"what are you doing?" Katara asked.

"bluffing" Sokka said nervously. the fire nation troops readied their weapons. I cracked my knuckles.

"You wanna fight? I'll give you a fight." I told them. I got in my battle stance, which was at this point a mix of air and fire bending. before I could blast them, the man fell over and a bunch of people no older than us came in and started fighting the soldiers.

I of course joined it using my airbending, I knocked them back these people kept taking sokka attacks though stealing his chance to contribute.

"Nice fighting I'm Jet" the leader told me. He seemed to be flirting.

"Nice to meet you I'm y/n. Thanks for saving us." I told him.

He introduced us to his group then invited us to his base. Aang was already zipping around in the ropes they used to move. Jet was attempting to flirt with me.

"So your an air bender?" Jet asked.

"Yeah unfortunately." I replied flatly I did not care for this one bit.

"Unfortunately?" He questioned. I sighed, I needed to trauma dump anyway.

"In the temple I messed up big time a lot! I was always in trouble, but the monks couldn't get ride of me because Aang was the avatar." I explained. "They always wanted me gone. So one day when Aang was visiting a boy named Kuzan in the fire nation I was sent too." I continued

"The fire nation cannot be trusted why would they send you there!?" Jet exclaimed.

"This was like 102 years ago. They were fine. Actually they were fantastic id never been outside the temple. the fire nation was amazing!" I cheered. Jet looked puzzled.

"They started a war though how can you be ok with that!" Jet exclaimed.

"This was before the war!" I tried to explain.

"They've always been evil though!!" He yelled back! I was getting frustrated so I took out my glider and flew off to find Aang.

We talked a bit apparently Sokka went out with Jet and a few others. I was still frustrated with Jet the fire nation isn't all evil. Kuzan was the sweetest kid ever!

"Hey y/n! Check this out!!" Aang cheered as he showed me some water bending. He did some form of water whip?

"That's cool." I told him. I was there watching but my mind was miles away, thinking about the temple, the monks hated me that's why...

I never earned my arrows...

But I don't need them. I'm strong on my own, that's how it's always been. And how it always will be.
