(Helena perspective)
Summer break had officially started, and I decided to stay at Professor Weasley's house. She was so kind that I couldn't bring myself to decline the offer—and honestly, how bad could six weeks with Garreth be?
During the first week, we flew to the Clagmar Coast and stayed in a quaint little cottage by the sea. The weather was perfect, and we spent our days exploring the area, swimming in the ocean, and building sandcastles together.
One moment that caught me off guard was seeing Garreth shirtless—his sun-kissed skin, freckles, and damp hair made him look surprisingly handsome. At night, we sat around a bonfire, watching the stars and talking for hours.
By the second week, however, Garreth had blown up his fifth potion near my belongings. That was my final straw—I decided it was time to find somewhere else to stay.

In the third week, I stayed with Poppy and her Granny in their cozy woodland cottage, surrounded by magical creatures that Poppy cared for with so much love. It was refreshing to spend time with animals different from the ones in my vivarium back in the Room of Requirement. Deek was taking care of them while I was on break, so I could finally rest.
Poppy confided in me that she was starting to have feelings for someone. These emotions were new to her, and she wanted time to understand them, so I didn't press. Instead, I enjoyed watching her daydream, caught up in her thoughts.
Unfortunately, my peaceful stay was interrupted when a group of puffskeins attacked me while I was sunbathing. That was my cue to leave again—this time, I flew off to visit Imelda and her parents.
Their house was full of photos and trophies celebrating Imelda's many Quidditch victories. Her parents absolutely adored her and spoke of her with nothing but pride and affection. They even took me to Hogsmeade for a little shopping spree—new clothes and treats from Honeydukes included.
On Wednesday, I heard a fluttering sound in the distance. I looked up to see Zayy, Ominis' owl, flying toward me.
"Hey Zayy, say hi to Omi for me," I said as I gently stroked his head and took the letter from his beak.
Zayy let out a loud screech and flew off again.
"THANK YOU, ZAYY!" I called after him with a smile.
I sat down in the grass and opened the envelope. A soft scent of wild roses drifted up as the parchment unfolded in my hands.
Letter:
Dear Helena,
How are you? Is your summer going well?
My parents are away for a week, and I'm all alone at Gaunt Manor. Normally I wouldn't mind, but given everything lately, I'd rather not be by myself.
I miss Sebastian and Anne terribly. This house feels like a cage without them.
Would you like to stay with me for the last two weeks of summer? It would mean a lot.Let me know as soon as you can.
Ominis Gaunt
"IMELDA!" I shouted from the garden, standing up with the letter in my hand.
She came running out, holding her toad. "WHAT?! I was grooming Tony!" she said, clearly flustered.
I couldn't help but laugh. "Ominis invited me to stay with him for the last part of summer. Is that okay?"
She gave me a soft smile. "I like having you here, but I won't stop you from going."
