(Helena's perspective)

I sat alone on a bench outside, catching my breath and enjoying the crisp evening air after a night full of dancing. I needed a brief moment with Anne, just to reconnect and share what had been going on between Ominis and me. She told me about her enigmatic neighbor and gently hinted that my makeup had smudged a bit.

Around us, students greeted each other with laughter, hugs, and kisses. It was one of those nights that made you feel alive.

The evening I had spent with Ominis felt like it had been lifted from a fairy tale. It was our first night together in a new way, something special he'd promised earlier. And now, even more magical, as he had regained his sight.

A cool breeze brushed my bare shoulders, sending a wave of goosebumps across my skin. Just as I reached to cover myself, two warm hands settled gently on my shoulders, rough yet tender.

*Ominis?*

I began to turn, but a soft voice whispered near my ear, freezing me in place.

"Hello, love.
You look breathtaking tonight.
Like a being carved by the heavens.
This Wolf wants you to enjoy your evening.
Goodnight, my dear."

And just like that, the presence disappeared.

I turned around, startled, only to find no one close enough to have said those words. Students passed by, their faces indistinct in the crowd. But around me lingered a scent I hadn't encountered in ages, cinnamon.

Later that night, Athena waited by the Black Lake to fly Ominis and me back to the Manor. I held on tight, arms wrapped around his waist, feeling the wind whip past us as we soared through the night sky.

Gaunt Manor was cloaked in darkness when we arrived. No one was home.

He opened the door and, seeing my dress trailing, lifted me in his arms to carry me gently up the steps. His room had changed since his sight returned, new placements for furniture, a different sense of arrangement. The bed now stood beneath the window, a round rug spread out near the fireplace, surrounded by soft cushions.

I wandered through the room, taking it in. He watched me with quiet intensity.

As I reached down to remove my shoes, he stopped me with a firm yet gentle grip. His fingers brushed my lip, wiping a trace of blood, and then he circled me slowly studying, admiring. I felt both seen and slightly undone, like I had stepped into the den of something wild and knowing.

He moved around me slowly, taking in every detail, his gaze intense. Drawn in and helpless, yet not afraid. My eyes followed him as he walked to the door and quietly turned the lock.

With a breath, I pulled the pins from my hair, letting the waves fall freely over my shoulders. He came up behind me, brushing it aside, and pressed a gentle kiss to the curve of my shoulder.

His hands were careful but firm, guiding my face to the side as he traced kisses down my neck, his breath warm against my skin. My back arched slightly at the feeling.

He ran his fingers along my spine, pushing my hair forward and loosening the buttons of my dress one by one, letting the fabric slip away until I stood before him in just my lace lingerie and heels.

"Tell me what you want, darling," he whispered close to my ear.

"You already know," I breathed.

"I want to hear you say it, Helena." He knelt, removing my shoes with care, and then slipped off his own.

"I'm yours," I murmured as I began unfastening the cufflinks of his jacket. He let the garment slide from his shoulders and drop to the chair behind him.
