(Helena's Perspective)

I slowly opened my eyes, blinking at the shadows. I was lying on the sofa in the living room, the sky outside cloaked in darkness. Anne sat nearby in a chair, a copy of Romeo and Juliet resting in her hands.

"Anne..." I murmured.

She immediately closed her book, stood, and dropped down beside me on the floor.

"Helena, you're awake! How are you feeling?"

"I'm alright. How long was I out?"

"You slept for three hours," she replied gently. "After we bandaged your wound, you fainted. Ominis carried you to the couch."

I looked down at my hand—neatly wrapped in a clean bandage. It throbbed slightly, but the pain was manageable.

"Do you have any Wiggenweld, Anne?"

She nodded and disappeared into the kitchen, returning with a small green bottle. Ominis followed behind her.

I sat up and drank it in one go.

"Lena, you're finally awake!" Ominis said, pulling me into a hug. "You had me so worried. I'm just glad you're okay."

He wore a snug black apron tied behind him, a sweet and spicy aroma lingering in the air.

"Ominis... are you cooking?" I asked with a surprised smile.

"Uh—yes, actually. I'm making dinner for the three of us. But I should really get back to it before it burns."

I giggled, the image of Ominis playing chef adding to his already flawless gentleman persona.

Anne sat beside me. "He's really taking care of us, Lena. I've offered for you both to stay the night—it's too late to travel back now. The woods can be dangerous."

"How thoughtful, Anne. Thank you. Where can I sleep tonight?"

"Well, I'm using Sebastian's old room. You two can stay in my uncle's bedroom—if you want to sleep together, of course. Otherwise, there's still my old bed in the corner."

A blush rose to my cheeks. "I don't mind sharing. We've done it before—at Gaunt Manor. I used to crawl next to him during nightmares, so we're used to it."

Anne shifted to a cross-legged position, studying me with curious eyes.

"Alright, spill it, girl. I want all the details. Are you two finally together? Have you kissed yet? Your last letter was all about that argument and his confession. I need updates!"

I mirrored her sitting position and began to recount everything—from the picnic and the waterfall to Ominis's subtle touches and expressions. I told her about my playful flirting, his jealousy over Evan, the party at Garreth's, our moment in the hallway, and my distant behavior afterward. Then came the intensity in the Potions room and our emotional yet romantic journey to Feldcroft.

"Ohhh, Lena! You're definitely falling for him," Anne said with a smirk. "I can hear it in your voice. I'm just happy you found each other—especially after everything. And I understand why it has to stay a secret, for now."

We laughed, gossiped, and chatted about all things girly. It felt so good to be with Anne again.

"Anne, I'm really grateful for you," I said, hugging her.

"It's mutual, Lena. You mean a lot to me."

Just then, Ominis emerged from the kitchen, smiling.

"Hey, what about me? Am I just back there playing house for myself?"
