(Ominis' Perspective)It was the third night of Helena's visit to Gaunt Manor. I twisted and turned in bed, caught in a vivid dream.
In the dream, my family had encountered a traveling wizard — a healer, someone who knew spells from the ancient past. He was kind, wise, and carried the air of someone who had seen the world. He placed his hand gently on my forehead and spoke strange words.
"Sana amicus meus."
A tingling sensation surged through my head. My father's voice followed.
"Open your eyes, Ominis. It's okay."
I opened them — and for the first time in my life, I could see. Tears welled up in my eyes.
In the distance, a tall woman approached. She had long dark hair and wore a flowing dress that hugged her frame. As she came closer, I took in every detail. Then she stopped in front of me.
"Omi, I'm so happy for you. You can finally see. See me. I never want to lose you."
I blinked again. It was Helena. Her voice, her presence — unmistakable.
She took my hands and kissed my cheek.
"Let's go do something fun together."
My cheeks warmed, and I followed her.

Suddenly, the dream shattered. Dull noises filled my room. I jolted upright, disoriented.
"Who's there?" I called out, grabbing for my wand.
I rushed toward the figure in the room, reached out, and caught their arm. A soft scent of vanilla reached my nose.
"Lena?"
"What are you doing here? You scared me."
My voice was still groggy and soft from sleep.
"Oh, sorry Omi! I was just getting your things ready. Get in the shower, quickly. We're going out for something fun today," she said, far too energetic for this hour. Then she disappeared out the door.
I rubbed my face.
"Good morning to you too," I muttered.

I showered and dressed in the outfit Helena had picked — a soft shirt, denim pants, and leather sneakers. Oddly casual for a day at Gaunt Manor.
I descended the grand staircase to find Helena waiting near the front door, laughing to herself.
"What's so funny?" I asked with a frown.
"Your hair. It's still soaked. I can't see your eyes — it's all in your face."
"You told me to be quick," I grumbled, brushing my hair back and straightening my shirt. "Better?"
"Much better," she replied, slipping her arm into mine and tugging me toward the door.
"Where are we going, Lena?"
"You'll know in a minute."

(Helena's Perspective)
On my way to Gaunt Manor, I had passed a beautiful waterfall tucked in the woods nearby — the perfect spot for a picnic. I spent the morning prepping with the staff. Flood packed a survival bag with potions, a tent, lights, and other essentials — just in case. The forest could be unpredictable.
