(Helena's perspective)
I heard Ominis shouting—his voice cutting through the air alongside the crack of spells being fired.
Marelie and I rushed to the training grounds. There, I saw him—Ominis—completely losing control.
"OMINIS!"
His mother's voice rang out, but he looked furious, face flushed, shouting incoherently at the training dummy in front of him."We have to calm him down!" I shouted.
I darted to his right while his mother approached from the left. I'd never seen him like this before—so consumed by rage. It tore at me inside to see him unravel.
Then, suddenly, he turned his wand toward his mother and screamed—
"CRUCIO!"
"OMINIS, NO!" I cried out.
I sprinted forward, casting my ancient magic spell as I threw myself in front of Marelie. The curse hit me instead.
The pain was searing.
*FUCK, HELP ME!*
Marelie dropped to her knees beside me, gripping my hand tightly.
"Stay calm—it'll pass quickly. Just hold on, okay?"
Tears streamed down my cheeks as I screamed, barely able to breathe.
"Oh god, it hurts—HELP ME!"
Through the haze of agony, I saw Ominis collapse to his knees beside me. He didn't say a word—just ran off into the manor.
Moments later, Marcus came sprinting to us. He lifted me in his arms and carried me to my bedroom, laying me gently on the bed.
"Hang on, Helena—just a little longer!"
He bolted to the stairs.
"MARELIE—WIGGENWELD!"The pain finally began to fade. My breathing slowed. Marelie appeared with the familiar green potion.
"Here, darling—drink this. It'll help with the pain."
She tipped the drink into my mouth and guided me back onto the bed.I closed my eyes. Sleep came quickly.

When I opened them again, I saw Ominis asleep in the chair beside me, his body slumped forward.
I reached out, brushing my fingers against his hand.
"Ominis..."
He jolted awake. "What—? Lena? You're awake?"
"Yes. Don't worry—I'm okay."
He immediately dropped to his knees beside the bed, clasping my hand.
"Oh, Helena, I was so worried. I'm such an idiot." He bowed his head onto the blanket, his voice shaking.
"Ominis, it's okay. I'm not in pain anymore."
He stood up and began pacing.
"I—I didn't mean to hit you... I didn't mean to hit anyone. I was angry—I was training—and you, you protected my mother..."
"Ominis, calm down," I said firmly.
"What if—oh god, Lena, you mean everything to me. I didn't mean to hurt you. You were screaming... I—I thought I'd killed you..."
"OMINIS GAUNT, STOP!"
I got up, walked right to him, and slapped him across the face.
He blinked and rubbed his cheek. "Ouch?"
