(Ominis perspective)

"Merlin... what the hell, Helena? Are you trying to make me mad?" I snapped after another heated argument in the dining room.

My eyes landed on her chest, the thin fabric of Sebastian's shirt doing little to hide her arousal. Her nipples pressed through the cloth, and her cheeks flushed as if she'd only just noticed.

Her eyes fluttered closed, and she whispered, "I'm not lying, Ominis."

I stepped forward, lifted her chin, and made her look at me.

"I can see that, yes," I said, guiding her gaze downward.

She followed my eyes, and when she realized what I meant, she jolted with embarrassment.

-Earlier – the argument-

"Sebastian, leave the room. Now!" I snapped.

"Why are you mad at him? He told you what happened!" Helena shouted back.

Sebastian stood from the table and walked past me without a word, but his eyes never left mine. As he passed Helena, he gave her a slow once-over and smirked. She blushed.

I shut the doors quickly and cast a silencing charm on the room.

I turned to Helena, my voice low and sharp.

"Did he touch you? Or did you touch him?"

"I don't know?!" she yelled, exasperated.

"Did you kiss?"

"I said, I don't know!"

"There's something between you two. I can feel it, your heartbeat is pounding." I reached for her face, trying to make her focus.

"And what if there is? It's not like we ended things the right way. Anne is right. I left him with that kiss... a piece of hope. And now I'm with you. He needs answers. From me. From us."

I grabbed her arms and pushed her lightly against the table. "Helena... you chose me."

"I'm just confused, Ominis! That's all. I think I like you both..." she turned her face away.

-Back to the present-

Her eyes locked onto mine, full of worry. "I'm sorry," she said softly.

"I know there's unfinished business between you two," I said, calmer now. "Maybe you should talk to him. Clear the air. Figure it out."

"Yeah... Anne told me that yesterday too." Her gaze dropped.

I gently lifted her chin. "Why are you sad now?"

"I just... I don't want to lose him, Ominis. And I don't want to lose you either. You're both part of me. What if I make the wrong choice?"

"You're scared of losing one of us if you choose," I said quietly.

"Yes." Her eyes searched mine. "I love you, Ominis... but I love Sebastian too. I always did. The pain, the memories, they still haunt me."

"I know," I sighed. I let go of her hands and stepped back. "He told me everything the other day. Maybe it's time you heard his side too, Helena."

I lifted my wand and released the silencing charm.

She stepped forward and took my hands again. "When it's time... I will."

"But right now, I just want to be with you, Omi." She leaned in and kissed me. Her fingers slid along my arms as her lips lingered on mine. The moment overwhelmed me, she had a way of melting my defenses.
