I take a few minutes to take in what they just told me and finish my breakfast and my 2nd tea.

"I'm conflicted... my very silly heart wants to see him so badly it hurts and let him explain, but my brain is battling my heart. My brain is saying screw this guy who acts like a big ole bare assed baboon acting all primal and neanderthally." I exclaim.

"bare assed baboon acting primal and neanderthally? Mom and dad both chuckle out.

"You need to listen to your heart sweet pea?" Mom says trying to stifle her giggles.

I let out a loud deep breath. "My heart wants to see him... I really miss him." I start to tear up.

"It just hurts so bad knowing I wasn't enough for him. What's wrong with me, why aren't I ever enough." I start to cry; I really didn't want to start my day off like this but here I am ugly crying yet again.

Mom and dad are by my side instantly holding me. Both tell me I am enough, and I shouldn't think that way. But in all honesty what else can I possibly think when all my life has been one disappointment after another. Everyone I give my heart to betrays me and leaves as if I mean nothing. So, it has to be me...I'm the problem.

After pulling myself together, I pull away and give them both a hug and kiss on the cheek.

"I think you're right. I am going to follow my heart and see him tonight. I will give him a chance to explain so there are no what ifs." I say with a smile. They are both still hugging me and kiss the top of my head.

We hear the doorbell ring. Dad goes to the door, while mom just envelopes me more into her and I happily snuggle in. When Dad comes back, he has another package. This one is a metallic pink with purple satiny ribbons. I smile as dad hands me the last package.

Now my curiosity is totally piqued. I excuse myself and head to my room with the packages so I can open them. I feel like a schoolgirl getting a valentine from her school crush. "eeek" I squeak out as I jump on the bed with all 3 packages.

I start opening the presents in order. I almost don't want to rip the wrapping paper, it's so pretty. I get the first package open, and it's wrapped in tissue wrapping paper. There is a handwritten note on top. It says, 'wear me on our date. I can't bear another minute without you.' I giggle at his note and the use of the word bear. I unfold the tissue paper and it's a light purple fuzzy teddy bear onesie that has a big fuzzy bear hood that is attached and big fuzzy bear slipper shoes? They have shoe soles but the tops look like those fun bear claw slippers I get from target or Walmart.
