The night you and David met had been cold and snowy, just like tonight. You couldn't belive a year and a half ago you guys met, and now been dating for a year. The two of you became instant friends and grew really close. Everything seemed great, he was so down to earth, but the past few weeks hadn't been so great. You guys fought a lot, he was moody and under a lot of stress. You had school to worry about and a job.

That night you sat on the couch watching the news after the Bruins game. This was there 5th game in the there loosing strea and you knew that David would be upset. These were the worst nights, he was moody and didn't control his words very well. He would act up almost, and you both hated it especially you. Despite the hard times you couldn't leave him.

The door slammed shut and David say down in the chair.  He didn't bother saying anything.

"Hey," you say glancing over at him. He just sat there on his phone ignoring you. Letting it slide you went back to watching TV, but couldn't hold it in anymore. "David," you start to say.

"What?" He snapped at you. You understood how he was when upset but he never snapped at you like that, and after today you couldn't handle it. You had failed a test and you boss fired you for some reason.

"I understand it was a tough loss but you played good and did your best." You try to say to him.

"And what would you know about hockey," he scoffed at you. He never looked up at you or anything.

"Everything you have taught to me and all that I could from watching my brother play." You tell him a matter of factly.

"Whatever." He got up from the chair.

"What's up with the attitude?" You asked alittle ticked off.

"I don't have an attitude. Sorry you have a problem with me."

"David!" You shout at him angrily.

"What, y/n?" He yelled right back at you.

"What's your problem?" You get up and walked over to him. You knew something was bothering him.

"Nothing, it doesn't matter. Why do you care?" He hissed at you.

"Because I care about you." You say softly.

"Well I never asked you to. I think we need a break." He grumbled at you and went into the bedroom, slamming the door behind him.

That night you slept on the couch. The storm was getting worse and it was freezing cold. There was no way you were getting any sleep tonight. So you turned the tv when you heard a noise coming from the kitchen. You got up and saw David at the kitchen table. You turned to leave when he spoke. "Wait Y/N. Can we talk?"

"Sure," You nodded and sat down in the chair next to him at the table.

"Sorry for waking you up if I did." His voice was raspy. His eyes were puffy from crying.

"It's fine, I was up." You gave him a small smile.

"I'm so sorry for how I've been acting. I didn't mean what I said earlier. It's just lately I've been under a lot of stress and the losing streak. My mom got sick and I can't loose her." He broke down into tears.

You rubbed his back, " David it's okay, but I want you know we should be able to talk about these things."

"I know. I shouldn't have taken everything out on you, I don't want to loose you also. Please forgive me." He pleaded with you.

"Of course." You kissed his forehead. "I love you."

"I love you too, now lets go to bed."
