I was going over some files, that didn't concern Jipuragi for a change, until I got a call from Mrs. Choi.
"Mrs. Choi", I greeted her.
"Su-Mi, come to the hospital. Quick. Chairman Jang has been shoot." It felt like my heart stopped beating for a second.
"Is he ok?", I asked in a quiet voice.
"He's in surgery right now. We don't know if he'll make it."
"I'm heading over there right now. Text me where exactly you are."
"I will."
I quickly left the office, sprinting towards my car and hit the gas.

I arrived at the hospital Han-Seok has been admitted to and ran to the operating rooms where the Inner Circle was waiting, anxiously pacing back and forth.
"Su-Mi, there you are", Mrs. Choi said and swiftly made her way towards me. As I glanced at Han-Seo to make sure he was ok, he immediately averted his eyes, avoiding to look at me.
"How is Mr. Jang Han-Seo doing?", I asked Mrs. Choi, which caused her to scoff. "I guess the guilt is catching up to him", she replied.
"What do you mean?", I asked confused.
"See, him and the chairman were hunting while it happened. Jang Han-Seo said he shot his brother by accident, but I don't think so."
"What makes you think that?"
"Call it a hunch." She looked over at Han-Seo with narrowed eyes.
Just then the doors to the operating rooms opened and a doctor came out. We rushed towards him, looking at him expactantly.
"Mr. Jang lost a lot of blood, but the surgery went really well. We were able to get the bullet out and stop the bleeding. He will make it, but still needs some time to wake up though. You better wait here. We will inform you as soon as he's awake." We all let out a breath of relief, sat down and waited for what felt like forever, till a nurse approached us.
"Excuse me? Who of you is Miss Kim?"
With a frown on my face I got up and stepped forward. "That's me", I said.
"Mr. Jang asked to see you. Alone. I will show you to his room."
We all followed the nurse to Han-Seok's room. There she knocked and opened the door for me to slip in, leaving me alone with Han-Seok, who seemed to be asleep.
Quietly I made my way over and looked down at him. He looked so peaceful and innocent. The complete opposite of who he was.
I reached out and moved a strand of hair off his forehead. His mouth quirked up into a smile.
"Busted, huh?", I asked with a smile.
"Mhm.", Han-Seok opened his eyes and looked at me.

"I wasn't sure you'd be here", he said.
"Why wouldn't I be?", I asked frowning. Instead of answering, he just shrugged his shoulders.
"Was it really Han-Seo?" He nodded his head in confirmation. "By accident?"
"Let's believe that it was. For now", he said.
"What are you going to do?"
"What am I supposed to do when he shot me by accident? It's not his fault, right?", he said in a weird tone.
I looked at him sceptically. Given his answer and mine and Han-Seo's chat with Mr. Han a couple nights ago, I was convinced that this was no accident and it seemed like Han-Seok didn't believe it either. Brother or not, normally Han-Seo would have been dead by then. Unless Han-Seok needed him for something and I was gonna find out what for. But for the time being, I just let it go.
"Do you want me to get the others? They're all here", I asked to change the topic.
"Of course they are", he said. "Not yet. Just a couple more minutes."
We sat there in silence - well I was sitting, while Han-Seok was laying - both in thought until Han-Seok spoke.
"Ok. Let them in. Before they're gonna die of curiosity."
"Alright. I'm gonna head back to the office."
"You're not staying?", he asked, seeming a little disappointed.
"I have a lot of work to do and you got the others to keep you company."
He scoffed. "Yeah, right."
"I can come back though. If you like", I suggested.
"Sure."
"See you later then, Mr. Jang." I made my way into the hallway "He wants to see you now", I said to the others, who rushed at me as soon as I opened the door.
