A couple days passed since the whole arrest-chaos. I barely talked to anyone of the Inner Circle anymore, only when it was necessary, because I didn't really feel like being a part of them anymore. And gladly Han-Seok left me alone too. Guess he had his hands full with Vincenzo. The only one I still talked to was Han-Seo.
I was at work and on my way to get coffee as I ran into an upset Mr. Han.
"Did you see the news?", he asked out of breath.
"No, I was working." Duh. "Why? What's going on?"
"Come with me", he said and sped ahead. I followed him to Han-Seok's office, where the rest of the Inner Circle were silently watching the news. It was about Han-Seok and his k*lling spree during his school years. Apparently he k*lled a couple of his school mates or forced them to k*ll themselves. It didn't surprise me though.
Of course he was never held accountable for anything. That didn't surprise me either. Hello? Rich kid. Certainly daddy paid everyone off.
However, what I found really interessting was the fact that he was diagnosed as a psychopath at the age of 16. A lot of things made sense then. Although 16 is very young.
Then they talked about Han-Seo's dr*g ab*se. I had no idea. That poor thing. But with a brother like that, it really wasn't that shocking either.
"Who could have leaked the info?", Mr. Han asked, being the first one to break the silence.
"I have no idea. Very few people knew about this", Han-Seok answered. "Was it you?" He looked menacingly at Han-Seo.
"Why would I? They're discrediting me too, saying I was a crazy dr*g user. It definitely wasn't me", he said.
"That only leaves one option. Doesn't look like you got rid of Vincenzo then, does it, Mrs. Choi?", I said smirking at her.
"No, but thanks to the news report I now know how to get rid of him", she replied, completely ignoring my attempt to wind her up.
"Would you care to enlighten us?", I asked.
"I will order someone to k*ll the CEO of Daechang Daily, Mr. Oh, and frame Vincenzo for it. Two birds, one stone."
My smile faltered a little. Objectively considered, that was a great idea. Stupid old h*g.
"Well then, good luck with that", I said and exited the office, since I felt like my presence was no longer required.

After my hasty leave I went back to Han-Seok's office, because I actually had to talk to him about some law suits that were piling up on my desk.
As I was about to knock, I heard Han-Seok's angry voice and some quiet replies every now and then. With my curiosity peaked I quietly opened the door and looked inside. The poor guy that got the full brunt of Han-Seok's anger was naturally Han-Seo, who just stood there with his head hanging low. Suddenly Han-Seok grabbed a trophy. "And this time, you won't move out of the way", he said.
I put one and one together and swiftly made my way over to them, to catch the trophy right before it could collide with Han-Seo's head.
"Su-Mi!"
"Miss Kim!", they both exclaimed.
"Sorry, to interrupt", I said sarcastically. "But I have to talk to you. Sir", I said with an angry gleam in my eye. "Alone", I added, turned to Han-Seo and nodded towards the door. He threw me a thankful look and quickly scrambled out of his brother's office.
"I don't appreciate you coming in here and interrupting me punishing my brother."
"First of all, he didn't do anything that required punishment", I retorted and slammed the throphy on his desk. "Second, there are certainly other ways to do that than getting physical", I put both my hands on his desk and leaned towards him, " and third, if I should ever witness something like that -"
"Then what, Su-Mi?", he challenged and copied my posture, while staring me down.
"Then I'm gonna show you what real punishment looks like", I said in a low voice. Whe both stared at each other in anger, before I turned on my heels and stormed out of his office.
That left me completely in the dark concerning Han-Seok's and Mrs. Choi's video call with someone significant later that day. Someone, who would not only become troublesome for Vincenzo, but also for me.
