Manik's pov

My arms wrap around her tiny little frame as she snuggles closer to my chest like she belongs here and she might as well at this point. My chin rests on top of her head, she is at peace right now, I can tell

I don't know why but I was so fucking pissed off seeing her laughing around with Arun, by no means am I jealous but the fact that he is able to make her smile and laugh is irritating.

Another thing that I keep thinking about is the fact that I care, it has been years since I cared but for her I am starting to care and starting to feel things.

"I am sorry" I whisper to her

"What for?" She asks

I sigh not knowing what had gotten over me int hat moment, I don't know why I felt the need to tell her she belongs to me, hell she probably doesn't even think of me as anything more than her boss and even if she did, I don't think of her as more than my employee right?

"For invading your privacy and insinuating that word but I promise you my intension was not that"

For the first time in years I am apologizing and that too without getting forced to, I am apologizing because I felt like it

That is another thing, nandini makes me feel a lot, she makes my empties stronger and visible

She lifts her face off my chest and looks at me, her chin resting on my chest as her eyes look in mine

"Arun is just a friend"

"I believe you" I whisper

"You don't look good when you are angry, it's like an angry monster stomping around"

"You are aware that if anyone else called me that, they'd be dead right?" i ask

Her eyes gleam up shining with happiness

"Yup, everyone is so so scared of you, as if you will bite. Wait do you bite?" She asks, her lips in that adorable pout

I smirk hearing her

"Wanna find out?" I ask

Her eyes swirl with curiosity, I love how beautifully her eyes reflect her emotions and feelings

"Maybe" she whispers

I know she is nervous, but she was curious too

As I lean in slightly, her cheeks begin to turn red, a colour I never found intriguing but now I think it is starting to become my favourite colour

"Go on and pack your stuff, you are coming with me tonight" I whisper

She hums a little, her eyes not leaving mine

"Do you wanna know where I'm taking you tonight or should I kidnap you?"

"Heheh kidnap" she giggles

"Do you have some kidnapping fantasy or something?"

"Not that I can tell you about"

"So you do?"

"Noooo"

"Nandini, darling, you are incapable of lying" I whisper

Her cheeks turn redder then they were

"Go on and pack, I will wait outside" I tell her before I lean down and kiss her cheeks

A soft gasp leaves her lips before she closes her eyes

"pack your clothes darling" I whisper again
