I was back at home, working on some presentations when my phone beeps, I ignored it for an hour but it beeps again making me sigh.

I left the office around 6, nandini was still in the room in my cabin, I had let the guards know not to let anyone enter and I even confirmed with her if she would be okay and the response I got was 'oh yeah I am good, you go'

'Manik' here we go

She was the one who texted me an hour ago

'Yea'

'Thank god, okay I know I said I am okay'

'What is it nandini?'

She is scared, I know she is

"Well like okay so the tv is good'

She is so frustratingly slow sometimes on purpose too

I place my laptop down and grab my keys giving her a call

"Manikkk" she chirps happily

"What is wrong?" I ask

"Well you see I was watching tv and then I switched through the movies"

"Nandini get to the point"

"No there is no point, I was just going to say goodnight" she mumbles

I could feel her playing with the blankets, she did that in the hotel room too when she was thinking so I know for a fact she is shit scared out of her mind

"Okay then, goodnight" I say

"Hmm yeah but like"

"go to bed"

"Bye" she says softly before I cut the call

"Where are you going?" Cabir asks as I pass him and navya

Navya is fine, she just has a cold

"Maybe he is going to see you know" she chimes in

"Oh I know"

"Manan" she smirks

"You too navya?" I groan

"Be safe" they yell as I walk out of the house

It doesn't take more than 10 minutes for me to drive to the office.

I heard the tv in the room when I stepped in the cabin, her little voice was audible too

"Honestly I am not scared anymore, but like titi don't tell me you like travelled from my house to manik's room because this is bad titi" her words make me chuckle

She is the only women in this world that would name her ghosts and talk to them

"Oh no no do not make nose, I am scared" she whispers

I cracked the door open to the room and she jumped so far, her teddy bear in her hands as she runs to the bathroom. If she was ever getting robbed or kidnapped she would make it so easy

"Go away titi, I will call Manik okay sho sho, he is big scary monster who will summon you and if you are a human run away because I call the cops and Manik" she yells from the bathroom

"Yeah? And what if it's manik?" I ask sitting on the bed

She peaks her head out of the bathroom and seeing me she runs out into my arms, for a minute I stop.

When I say I stop I mean I stop everything, my whole body feels stuck as if I couldn't do anything, I couldn't lift my arms, my breathing stopped, I just couldn't do anything for a bit
