"Your phone" she mumbles

"Your phone is ringing manik"
Oh my fucking god, I was staring at her so intently that I didn't hear my phone.
Reaching in my pocket I grabbed my phone and saw it was my father's lawyer
"Hello"
"Good evening son"
"Evening uncle" I know I sound uptight but that's how I am
"The will is expiring soon, if you don't do anything, everything goes to nyonika malhotra"
"She is not a malhotra and I am getting married in a day so you are invited"
"You are?" He sounded surprised
"I am, you will get the details by tonight"
"Congratulations son"
'Thank you uncle" I whisper looking at Nandini
She was counting something up in the air still sitting in my arms
"Is it that personal assistant of yours?" He asks
Even though I couldn't see him, I knew he was smirking
"Yeah it is"
"Hell yeahhh, if your father was here, he'd be so proud of you. She is the perfect choice for you"
How the hell is everyone able to tell she is the one for me?
"How do you know?" I ask
"I will tell you when I see you at your wedding, now ciao I need to get he best suit" I chuckle a little hearing him
"Don't look better than me" I joke
"sorry to disappoint you but I look fucking gorgeous, mind my language"
"Hahaha would my father have liked you swearing in front of me?" I tease
"No but your father never really liked me, he loved me, if it wasn't for your mother, we'd be married" I couldn't help but laugh
Hearing me laugh, Nandini looks up with the cutest smile on her face.
I don't know what went through my head but I leaned down until my lips met her forehead. Her soft gasp lets me know she was just as surprised, her hands fisted my shirt
"Manik" she whispers
"Yes darling?" I answer placing my phone on the table in front of us
"I am happy, very very happy"
"So am I baby"
She smiles making me smile wider as I cuddled her closer to my chest.
We sit there for a bit just in silence, she was looking up in the sky while I was looking at her. The wind had started picking up which Nandini enjoyed a lot, this girl loves small things
"Should we go home?" I ask
"Yes, I need to get my mehendi done yayyy" she giggles
"Mehendi?" I ask as she gets off me
"You silly human, new brides or to be brides get mehendi done, come on lets go I need to tell cabu, Ryan and navya that you asked me to marry you' she mumbles grabbing the garbage
"Leave it" I say about to grab the garbage
"No, that is bad manners" she is such a goody two shoes
I watch her walk, more like sprint to the garbage can, when she turns around she giggles skipping to me.
"Go go" she says grabbing my hand
I chuckle at her little antics, popping the door open for her i leave her hand so she can sit in the car and I sure as don't miss her little whine when my hand leaves hers
"So manikkkk"
"Yes darling?"
"Bear meat huh?" I laugh hearing her
I laugh like I have never laughed before
"Oh no no, do not laugh" she glares at me with a tiny pout
"Haha baby I don't actually, it was just to scare them off"
"Yeah but you couldn't think of anything else? You thought of bear meat and alligator meat seriously?"
"Yeah, it was the first thing that popped up in my head"
"Thats is bad manik"
"It's not actually, it's yummy. Let me order some and you can try it tomorrow"
she doesn't even say anything but a whole lot of gagging noises were heard, tons of it making me chuckle
"Disgusting, you are so bad"
"I am handsome"
"Says who?" She asks
"The world"
"Well they don't know you feast on alligators, honestly lets not even mention that at all. I do not want to be associated with a husband who eats alligators, eww. Mr Manik Malhotra, husband of Nandini malhotra eats bears ahh gross"

I actually adore the way her name sounds with mine, NANDINI MALHOTRA!!!!
"Yeah? What else would they say?" I ask
"Rude human getting married to nice and pretty human" she grins
"Right and what else?"
"Hot hot human getting married to architecture manik malhotra"
"Oh absolutely, because i am not handsome right? Nor am I hot"
"Well I didn't say that but you are absolutely correct. Manik there can't be two good looking people in a relationship and clearly I got the beauty and the brains and well you are jsut you"
"Really now?"
"Yes sir"
"Mhm lets see if you still think so when we get out of the car"
"I am not scared of you" she says standing her ground
"I didn't say you were"
"You insinuated it but I want you to know I can kick your ass anytime"
"Try it" I challenge
her eyes narrow as she looks at me, I know she is trying to think of a plan but when she doesn't figure anything out she huffs turning her head
"Couldn't think of anything darling?" I ask
"Argh I hate you" she yells crossing her arms against her chest pouting
"Sure you do baby"
She nods making me chuckle
We reached home and Nandini runs, when I say runs, I mean the second I stopped the car, this girl was out making me shake my head at her
