Chapter 2

Diagne

A couple of week have passed. I just landed at NAIA. Agad akong sinalubong nina daddy and mommy na naghihintay sa akin kaninang pang umaga. 

"Neri!" they both shouted and ran to hug me.

I have my own body guards beside me at ganon din ang mga magulang ko.  

I just walked normally as I widen my arm for them. Sumalubong sa akin ang damping halik ni mommy sa pisngi at sa noo naman ang kay daddy. 

"Oh, I miss you, two" I said with a teary eye. 

Sa apat na taon kong hindi ko sila nakita ng personal, I'm longing for their touch. I miss my parents so damn much. 

"We miss you more, anak" dad said and smiled genuinely. Ganon din si mommy na konti na lang tutulo na ang luha habang titig na titig sa akin. Hindi naman nagsasalita. 

"Don't cry, mommy. You will make me cry too. Naka-mascara ako." kunwaring inis kong sabi. 

They both chuckled. "I miss you so much, anak" si mommy then she hugged me. I felt her motherhood through my body. Ilang segundo kaming nakayakap sa isa't isa hanggang sa una rin si mommy na kumalas. 

I smiled. Nang ilibot ko ang tingin ko sa buong paligid, nagulat ako sa dami ng taong nakapalibot sa amin habang hinaharangan ng mga security guards ang mga ito. Nahihirapan na sila dahil sa sobrang daming tao. 

Oh, I don't know I cause a chaos like this. 

Our maids get my things and put in the other car, different from the car we're going to use to get home. 

People are screaming my name, begging to get my photograph and autograph. Tutok ang napakadaming camera sa akin. Flashes was everywhere. Even reporters from other news corporations is here, trying hard to get a statement from me. 

Well, welcome home, Diagne!

Kumaway na lang ako sa mga tao bago ako magpatianod kina mommy na sumakay na sa sasakyang naghihintay sa amin. I was too tired to entertain people right now. Maybe some other time. I'm sure, maraming mag-iinterview sa aking TV shows so I have to be ready for it. 

We leave the airport and as usual, people we're trying to follow. But the securities were strong kaya ni isa ay walang nakawala. 

Before we go home, dad said we'll eat muna dahil hindi pa sila naglu-lunch. I was about to say that I already eat, but I realized that it was our first time for a long time ago to have a meal together again. Kaya pinagbigyan ko na lang sila. Besides, in our own restaurant naman kami kakain. Less hustle for me. 

Habang nasa restaurant kami at kumakain, biglang may tumawag sa akin. See? Hindi ako nagkamali dahil wala pang isang oras mula nong dumating ako may tumatawag na sa aking networking management, begging me to have an interview with a TV show. 

I just tell them my sincere apology that I can't make it up for the following days but they are willing to wait naman daw. So, I just accept it. No more buts. 

Nang matapos ako sa una, nagsunod-sunod na ang mga tawag. But instead of answering them by me, I just call my manager and tell him to handle those and gave him the same information about my condition to those shows or whatever you call it. 

Wala na ngang tumawag pa kaya payapa akong nakakain and have a peaceful conversation with mom and dad.

We finally got home. Hinayaan naman ako nina mommy and daddy to have a rest muna dahil ramdam ko na talaga ang pagod at ang paunti-unting antok na lumuluob sa akin.
