Each day, they spent like it was their last. They would get together, and have fun by the campfire and drinking a very large stock of wine Annabeth had found in the cellar of their home. Each night, Will and Nico would stumble home together, and Annabeth and Percy would retire back into their bedroom, to make love.
Two weeks had gone by, without any sign of Ares. They continued with their parting, and spending as much time with each other as possible. Then one day, Percy decided to try and review some of the grape vines that encircled the house. He'd go out every morning, and water each one of the rows. While Annabeth watched him as she sat on a chair from their front porch. Occasionally they would see Will and Nico walking by, talking a romantic stroll along the beach. They'd wave at each other like friendly neighbors before returning to what they were doing.
The party's soon became to much, and they collectively decided it was best to take a break from the binge drinking. And Percy's Vinyard, had began to flourish. Each row of the vines were lush and green, with perfect little balls of purple grapes. Then it became time to harvest. Will, Nico and Annabeth joined in the harvest. Percy even made large tubs so they could stomp and mush the grapes into wine.
Shortly after the wine they had all made together was able to drink, Annabeth had given birth to a beautiful baby girl. Whom Percy named after his mother who he never got to know. Sally.
Will and Nico often came by to see little Sally, and talk with Percy and Annabeth. Everything was perfect for them. Percy and Annabeth had gotten to live their dream of living on a vineyard and having a kid. Will and Nico often went on runs with the boat to sell Percy's wine, it was a huge success.
Then one day, the skies overhead turned black, thick clouds rolled in and thunder roared across the dark skies. The ocean became rough, and choppy, and a cold wind swept through the small island, even though it was the middle of summer. A frantic knock on the front door woke Percy up. He rushed down stairs worried that something happened to Will or Nico.
When he opened the door, it was both of them. "They're here..." Nico said darkly.
Percy froze. In the years they spent on the island, all thought about Ares had almost ceased to exist in entirely. "Get the defenses ready... I have to tell Annabeth."
Nico nodded, and left with Will to ready their defenses they had made. Percy shut the door, and took a deep breath. His hands began to shake.
"Love... what's wrong?" Annabeth said from behind him. Percy turned to see Annabeth in a loose silk night gown with a plump baby girl with black hair and storm gray eyes staring gleefully at him. His face must have tipped Annabeth off. "No...no..." Annabeth said.
Percy nodded. "You have to get to the boat... and take Sally out of here."
"Percy... I haven't changed my mind," Annabeth said.
"I have," Percy said. "I can't have my daughter grow up the same way I did. Look where we are now!"
"We are on our own Vinyard, and island with our best friends," Annabeth said. "And plus, Sally is the best parts of both of us. She's stronger than you think."
"Beth..." Percy murmured.
"I hate this too... but I'm not leaving you, lets get the boat ready," Annabeth said. "For Sally."
