“He deserved it! Ipagtatanggol mo pa? Hindi lang ako ang binastos niya, pati rin ikaw! He even said the most stupid thing I’ve ever heard. He said you’re in love with him. He’s crazy and delusional! How would my brother be in love with a man? I don’t care if he may be gay or whatever! My brother’s not!”
This is the most annoying yet sensitive topic for me. I can’t just say what’s on my mind. I’m still talking to someone older than me, and I don’t want to say anything about what’s really going on with me and Top when I myself don’t understand anything about it either.

She took a deep breath and massaged her temple. “I hate his guts. He’s arrogant and stupid—”

“And you really think that it’s all about that damn money, huh?”
“I can’t believe you’re mad at me for slapping that guy! I’m telling you, Henry, I’m not sorry for doing it, and I’m willing to do it again, twice or three times, the moment he opens his mouth and disrespects us”
“What do you mean by disrespect? I wasn’t disrespected”
“I am! And as your older sister, I want you to stay away from that guy, or he’ll put you in trouble for sure”
Napapikit ako ng mariin. I looked at her with my bloodshot eyes and shook my head. “Let’s not complicate things. You know I don’t think like that about my friends, right? Please understand me”
“So you’re acknowledging what he just said earlier? Is it true that you’re in love with him?”
In l-love with him? Hindi ba ay siya ang may gusto sa akin? Tch.
“I-I am… not”
“Then that friend of yours is a liar!”

“I’m just worried, brother…” she whispered while my attention was still on the road dahil konti na lang ay makakarating na kami sa bahay. “I may be thinking too much, but what if that guy likes you? What would you do?”
“Let him be,” I casually said.
She looked at me with her mouth half-opened. “W-What if madala ka sa kung anong feelings niya para sa iyo? I’m afraid you might fall too, tapos magkatotoo nga iyong sinabi niya kanina”
