For those of you who asked about Laila and Bunny, I tried to keep it as realistic as possible. It's not always possible for everyone to go abroad last minute, even in an emergency. Not getting time off, or other circumstances, don't let people go. Therefore, Laila and Bunny couldn't come.

Frankly speaking, I forgot to mention them too. 🙈

Yamna

"Mama." I whispered, sitting down on the bed beside her.

I've seen situations where Mama had fallen asleep on the sofa, tired after work. Papa had tried so hard to wake her up, but she continued sleeping.

I've also seen situations, like now, where I'd only whispered her name and she'd woken up with a start.

"Yamna? What's going on? What happened?" She sat up and fumbled around until she found the switch for the bedside table lamp. She squinted at me. "What's wrong?"

I lay down beside her, curling up. "My stomach is upset. It really hurts."

"Oh, sunshine, it happens when you come to a place with a different climate, due to a change in the environment and water. It'll settle in a couple of days." She ran a hand over my head. "Let me give you an Imodium."

"I feel sick."

She had just gotten up from the bed, and she turned to look down at me. "Do you need to throw up?"

"I don't know." I muttered.

"Oh, sunshine." She headed to the wardrobe to get her bag, and took out the medicine from it. "Is Rohaan awake?"

"No. I didn't want to tell him anyway." I muttered, embarrassed. I felt the nausea begin to increase. "Mama, I'm going to throw up."

"Go to the bathroom! Why are you sitting here announcing it?!" She rushed over to me and practically shoved me towards the bathroom.

Needless to say, I threw up a lot, and I cried while doing so. I felt homesick, while being physically sick. When you are unwell, all you want is home. But what I really missed was my old bedroom at my parents' old house. My haven. My comfort zone.

"Honey, I think we might have to take you to the doctor." Mama spoke softly. "I'm going to get Rohaan, okay?"

"No, Mama. I'm ashamed."

"Ashamed of what, my sunshine? You're sick. He's your husband. I'm getting him, and we're going to take you to see a doctor." She headed out of the room before I could argue further.

I was sitting on the floor, groaning, when Rohaan rushed in.

"Yamna?" He crouched down beside me. "You okay?"

"Stay back. I've been sick." I muttered. "I'm disgusting."

"I've been a teenage guy, sweetheart. There's not much that disgusts me." He wrapped an arm around my shoulders. "Come on, let's go." He glanced at Mama over his shoulder. "I'll take her downstairs, and we're going to have to ask Kamran Nana."

Mama handed me a bag. "In case you need to throw up."

As we came out into the hallway, Anabia Mama came out of her room and looked alarmed. "What happened to her?"
