It's been 4 days. 4 days since I last saw Diana. She hasn't showed up to school after Monday. I let myself try to forget about it and move on, but it wasn't that easy. I walked into class every day hoping I'd find her sitting at her desk reading a book, but she never showed.

I wish I had never tried to kiss her. She probably thinks I'm really weird. What if she quit? What if she's moving schools?

Mrs. Leyva has been covering her classes for the past few days. I asked her if she knew why she wasn't here. Mrs. Leyva responded telling me she had a family emergency.

If I would've known this would happen, I would have never gotten close to her. I would've kept my distance.

I sat in my gym class with Iris and Nate. The whole morning has gone by extremely slowly. Every day that Diana wasn't here, it felt like the day would move even slower than usual. I didn't have our usual meetings to look forward to anymore.

"What's wrong with Isa?" Nate whispered to Iris but loud enough for me to hear.

"I don't know. She's been in a mood since the other day." She whispered back. "Hey. What's up with you?" She asked this time louder.

"Nothing. I'm just tired." I shrugged.

"Well snap out of it. You guys down to hang out later?" She asked.

"Hell yeah." Nate exclaims.

"Sorry. I have plans." I almost forgot. I was supposed to hang out with Elena today.

"What? With who?" Iris questioned.

"Elena. I don't know where we are going yet. I'm going to pick her up and we were gonna figure it out together."

"So what, is this a date?" She asks, raising an eyebrow.

"Kind of. I don't know. Not really. We are just hanging out."

"Well have fun." She says as the bell rang. She stood up and grabbed her bag before walking out.

"Dude. What's her problem with Elena?" I asked Nate.

"You haven't heard?"

"Heard about what?"

"I guess there was a rumor going around the Iris and Elena had a thing going on." Nate shrugged.

"What? Why have I never heard anything about that?"

"She made sure to do everything she could so you wouldn't. She didn't want you to think it was true."

"Well I know it's not true. Right?" I asked curiously. I mean I knew Iris liked guys. She's told me that before. She would've told me if she were interested in girls.

"I don't think it was true. She just didn't like that people accused her of that." He shrugged.

We both walked out of the gym together. I started to think a little. If it weren't true, why was she trying so hard to deny it? Or why did she not want me to know about it?

Yesterday, Elena and I met up for our second tutoring session. I honestly don't know why she was recommended for it. She seemed to have really good grades. We were able to discuss the book a little more and talk about the different themes that occurred in the book.

I was glad to have someone I could talk to about it. Iris bought me the books but she hardly ever reads unless she absolutely needs to. It was nice to have someone to talk to about books.

There was no need for me to stay after gym class so I'd decided to go home. Elena suggested we would go out at around 6. I had enough time to pick up Maggie, spend time with her, and do some homework.
