Life has been good. Exams rolled around and I passed every single class with an A, not that I'm very surprised about that but Diana makes sure to remind me how proud she is of me.

I had continuously tried reaching out to my parents in hope that I might get to see them at my graduation. I was beginning to come to terms with everything but it was definitely a lot easier than it was before.

My three best friends and I are officially graduating today. Everything we have worked for has led up to this moment.

Despite all of us getting accepted to the same universities, Nate is staying here. He is deciding to commit to the local university on a full scholarship for football.

Although it will be a little harder to see him as often, that won't stop us from trying to make it work. We couldn't be anymore happy for him to be pursing his dreams of playing football. He's so talented and I know he will go on to do amazing things.

Elena and Iris on the other hand, are both going with me to the same school. I couldn't be more thrilled about it. Elena will be studying criminology while Iris is interested in finance.

Diana and I did some more talking and she officially quit her job here at this high school. She found a job at a high school near the new house and will be starting in August. We had this whole summer for us to spend time with each other before I moved into the dorms.

As much as I tried to convince Diana that I could stay at the house and just commute to school, she said I'd end up regretting it and it would be too much on my plate. Kate and I put in a request for us to room together and Iris and Elena did the same.

I stood fixing my cap and gown as I waited for Elena and Iris outside of the girls bathroom. We had to line up because we'd be walking towards our seats soon.

The graduation was held at a local football stadium. The school was pretty big so they had to ensure there would be space for everyone.

On the football field, there was a large stage set up, with a podium and a table filled with our diplomas. All of the graduating class got into a line alphabetically.

I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket.

Diana: I'm so proud of you. I'll see you after this, I have some plans for us.

Me: Thank you, love. I can't wait :)

I turned my phone off and placed it back into my pocket before I finally heard music play as we began walking towards our seats. Since everyone was already seated in alphabetical order, this allowed it to be much easier for when it came to actually receiving the diplomas.

I was honestly ready to get the hell out of here.

We all sat in our seats as the principal came up and gave a speech.

I honestly completely zoned out. I heard him say something about how proud he was, something about our future, and finally when he concluded his speech to begin handing the diplomas out.

The first row stood and began walking up towards the stage. I saw as multiple of my classmates received their diplomas and stopping to take a quick photo with the principal.

I saw as Nate began getting closer and closer to the stage.

"Nathaniel Cruz." The principal announced and everyone started cheering for him and clapping.

Nate being who he is, went up smiling and pointing to the crowd. He got his diploma and made a funny face when he took a picture with the principal.

My row was next. We stood up and walked towards the stage in line. I know a lot of people were talking about how nervous they were feeling about this moment.
