When I had woken up this morning, I was bombarded with so many messages from my friends.
Nate: How could you?
Nate: I really thought you were better than that.
Iris: Dude, What happened?
Iris: So you're just going to cheat on your girlfriend and use Nate's girlfriend like that?
Iris: Nate is pissed. Ashley is crying.
Nate: Don't try and talk to me anymore. There were a bunch more but I didn't even bother to scroll all the way up. The texts started around the time I had left the party last night. I have no clue about what Ashley told them but I already knew that she's pinning this on me. I could tell by the way they were accusing me of such things.
If they knew the truth, they wouldn't be saying I purposely was the one to cheat on my girl and "use" Nate's girlfriend.
She clearly was the one using me. I was helping her during a vulnerable moment she she mistook that for something else and kissed me. It was completely one sided. I don't and never have had those intentions with her.
I put my phone down as I picked Maggie up from my bed and carefully carried her into her own. I woke up a little earlier than usual today but I knew I had a good amount of things to clear up.
I quickly placed a hand on my head realizing how bad my head was hurting. I did drink a decent amount last night but I didn't over-do it. I still feel upset and slightly uncomfortable about the fact that Ashley kissed me.
Walking into my bathroom, I got into the shower and got ready for my day. I knew I had a couple of things I needed to clear up today or else they'd become bigger problems.
I needed to talk to Nate. I needed to talk to Diana.
She hadn't answered any of my texts or calls. I don't know where she could be or what she is doing. I just want to know if she's okay.
I let the warm water fall down my body trying to wash off everything that happened. I could feel myself become really emotional about the whole thing. I never wanted this. I never would do that to them.
When I finished showering and changing, I made my way down stairs to grab something to eat really quick. It was Saturday and my parents didn't work. It was usually my day to be with Diana so when they saw me they seemed surprised.
"I thought you weren't coming home last night?" My mom questioned as she looked up from her phone. Her and my father were sitting on the couch probably watching their own things.
"Yeah I wasn't supposed to but things changed. I'm going out right now." I sighed. "I'm going to Iris's house." I quickly added before walking towards the front door.
"Okay. Let us know if you are going to come home or not." My dad chimed in.
"Sounds good."
I grabbed my keys off of the hook by the door and locked the front door. I know for a fact that they are all still together right now. Their plan had been to have a sleep over. Knowing them, it's too early for them to even be up right now but it's worth a shot.
The entire ride to Iris's house I was formulating a few things to say that could possibly help the situation. I didn't know where to even begin. I was ultimately afraid they wouldn't believe me, especially since it was Ashley's word against mine.
I parked in front of her house and to my luck, Nate's car was parked in the driveway. I felt confident in what I was going to say but I just hoped that everything would go according to plan.
My hands felt sweaty and shaky as I walked towards the front door. Do I ring the doorbell? Do I knock? Or should I call them to open the door.
I rang the doorbell and waited for a response. I hoped I didn't wake anyone up.
