I've been taking it day by day. It's been over a month since I've last seen Maggie. I've tried to pick her up from school but my parents took me off of her pick-up list.
I've been trying to reach out to my mom but she blocked me. I text my dad but he just doesn't respond.
It's been extremely hard but the only one keeping me grounded is Diana. She constantly reassures me that everything is okay. Diana helps me relax and calm down during the times that are especially hard.
Diana is worried about me. I know she is but she tries not to be too overbearing. She makes sure I eat and always checks in with me about how I'm doing mentally and emotionally.
I could never thank her enough for what she's done for me.
I've been in between places recently. I didn't want Iris's parents to know my parents have kicked me out so we just have the occasional "sleepover". Some days, I stay with Iris, some with Nate, some with Elena, and the weekends I'm with Diana.
I didn't want to only stay with Diana because I was afraid people would become suspicious. I've been extremely paranoid since the Ashley incident. I don't want to put us at risk for anything else.
Today is the day. I finally started getting acceptance letters this week. I've been accepted to multiple schools but the ones I really want haven't came in yet.
It's Friday. I should be getting the results in today. I told Diana that tonight we could open them together.
I've worked my whole life to attempt to get into the best schools. I've maintained a 4.4 average GPA with all of my advanced placement classes.
I've spent my first 3 years of high school in leadership clubs and literature programs to help with my application. I had 2 letters of recommendation. One from my English teacher from last year, and one from Diana.
My whole life depended on these results. I knew in my heart which one I wanted but I wasn't sure what I'll ultimately end up choosing.
"I got the emails that my application status is available in the school's portals." I looked through my phone and told Diana.
We were sitting in her classroom as we waited for the time to pass by. It was the Teaching Assistant period and there wasn't much else to do.
"Would you like to open them now or later when we get home?" Diana asked gently while fixing a stack of papers on her desk.
"Maybe later." I smirked and stood up from my desk and made my way over to her.
She pushed her chair back, allowing some space for me. I sat down on her lap and made eye contact with her.
"If I get in to them, do I get something in return?" I whispered.
Her eyes were glued to my lips as she bit her own.
"You just might." Diana teased.
She leaned forward and kissed me softly.
Suddenly, we heard a few knocks on the door. I immediately dropped to the floor underneath Diana's desk. Luckily, it was one of those desks that was covered on the outside and only had a small space for Diana's legs.
"Uh- Come in." Diana managed to get out.
The door opened and I heard footsteps walking closer.
