A/N: it's a little shorter, I know, but I'm already working on the next chapter and felt like it wouldn't be fitting to describe two story lines in one chapter.

I'm on the train anyway, so I have the time

As always, have fun and a nice day ;)

"Captain Harper," Commander Percy West began. "Today, this committee finds you guilty for the sexual harassment of at least four and rape of at least two police officers. Not only do we have the statements of the victims, we also found video evidence and even a witness. As of today, you are no longer a part of the Los Angeles Police Department. You will give up your badge and gun. You are dismissed without honors. You will not receive any pension from the forty-two years of service here at the LAPD. Do you accept the decision the committee made?"

Mrs. Harper was crying next to her husband who just sat still, unable to process what just happened.

His lawyer stood up. "Captain Har-"

"Mister Harper, as of today," West interrupted him. "Continue."

"We will fight the decision the committee has made." The man said, clearly exasperated. "As you just mentioned, my client worked forty-two ears for the department. The LAPD is just trying to deny a hard working, loyal citizen the money he earned with his own blood and sweat. You-"

Yet again, West interrupted him. He stood up. "We will see you in court, then."

Diana stood on front of the room, her back leaning against the wall. Her thoughts were rushing, her mind trying to catch up to what just happened.

"You will have to repeat your statement in court. There will be a judge, the prosecutor, the jury and the usual spectators," Commander West to told her. "I'm sure you could ask for a private statement, then at least the crowd wouldn't be watching you-"

"No," Diana said, looking up for the first time since the decision was made. She crossed her arms. "Everyone should know what kind of a man he is. Also, I want my family to be there with me. Till now, I have made the decision to keep this topic mostly to myself but I won't do this anymore."

West slowly nodded. "I will be in touch concerning the details. For now, however, I want to know that the department 100 percent has your back. If you need anything, don't hesitate to come to me."

Funny, already the second time someone told me that today.

"Thank you, Commander West."

"Of course. It was a long day, you should take some rest. Goodbye."

"Goodbye," Diana and her Sergeant chorused.

Once the Commander was gone, Caradine turned to his subordinate, crossing his arms. "That was rough and it isn't even over it. Still, you handled it well. If you want to take tomorrow off, that's okay."

"I do need to get some things sorted out," Diana nodded. "Taking tomorrow off is a good idea. Thank you."

"Of course. Shall I drop you off at home?"

"No, I'd like to go to the station first. There is something else I'll have to figure out too."

Caradine dropped her off at the station before leaving to take a look at a crime scene nearby. Something about a robbery in a vegan supermarket. Diana didn't really listen.

Inside, she wanted to head straight for the office when she ran into Lucy.

"Diana, hey. I haven't seen you in a while. Charlie said you had some appointment so he was riding alone today. Is everything alright?"
